I have been baking since I was about 10 years old when my mom got me an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. At that time, I used to make "mini" cakes that she'd put in lunches for my Dad, brother, sister and me. Shortly after I progressed to making full-sized cakes, etc. and my mom showed me how to follow a recipe. She has some wonderful recipes that are over 50 years old, passed down to her by her mother and friends - tried and true! I still make several of those recipes today along with many other new recipes that I've acquired along the way. Here are some of my favorites ...
