I always look forward to Monday mornings because it's CAS Challenge time!! Today's challenge is a sketch from elmo98ca (current member of the CAS Design Team). Love the sketch and had fun putting my own spin on it. I realized after I was finished making the card and took a picture, that I missed rounding the corners (ooops!). Hope you like.
"Out on a Limb"

I inked the tree stamp with Early Espresso and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. I cut the tree out and down to the size I wanted.
I cut a strip of grass paper with a wave at the top to represent hills of grass. Using a darker grass paper, I used the grass die-cut from Cheery Lynn Designs and then cut the strip in half so I had two layers. I glued the two strips of thin grass at the bottom of the "hills". I glue the tree on top.
I inked the sentiment with Early Espresso ink and stamped on top of the lighter grass. I punched out the owl and glued the pieces together with Tombow glue. I mounted the owl in the tree with sticky strips.
The front panel was mounted to a card base of Garden Green.
