"Happy Birthday To You"
Stamps: Something to Celebrate (SU!); Sentiment Sampler (Paper Smooches)
Paper: White (C.C. Designs); Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise polka-dot DP (SU!)
Ink: Stazon Black, Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: corner rounder, adhesives
I stamped the gifts in Stazon Black ink onto a Whisper White card front. I used Stampin' Write markers to color the gifts and I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink. I mounted the Tempting Turquoise strip to the top of the card and then used my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker to add faux stitching all around the card. I mounted the card front onto a heavy white cardbase (for stability).
I added one gift to the bottom right-hand corner of the inside panel and colored it. I added a strip of Tempting Turquoise polka-dot DP to the top inside panel and then added the faux stitching to the inside of the card as well.

I am thinking of re-vamping my labels (again!). They just don't seem to make sense to me anymore ... and they are such a huge list that I'm sure it isn't helpful when trying to find something on my blog. So, my plan is to actually take off all the stamps sets that I list in the labels, and add labels by subject (example: baby, christmas, masculine, winter, etc.) and by technique (example: technique - paper piecing; technique - watercoloring, etc.). I think it will make it easier when searching my blog for a particular card.
I would really appreciate feedback on this if you have time. Thank you!!!
This is so cute, Loll!! Love the border at the top too. I think your new label idea is a good one! I do mine mostly by company, and a few by other subjects.
ReplyDeleteAnother great card and I love the clean lines. I think I like your idea by style!
ReplyDeleteLoll,
ReplyDeleteI love this card, heading off to steal the pattern paper across the top idea as soon as I finish this, I need it to cover an embossing boo-boo :)
I like the idea by technique, I don't always remember the card I'm looking for but I do remember the technique so that'll make it easier for me to find...have a great evening and thanks for sharing your talent!!
This is so bright and cute, Loll! I love the faux stitching and that bit of DP at the top! I don't know what to say about organizing your labels. Being a SU Demonstrator, I look for cards by set, but that doesn't always work well. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the tabs at the top of my blog.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good idea to change your labels~I like ones that are by type i.e. "birthday" "Thanks" "Sympanthy" "Christmas" etc. While I love SU, I can't always tell by their name what the set is all about! lol at myself!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute and cheerful! As for changing the labels, I search your blog for card ideas by stamp set. I can easily find everything the way you already label things: it's well done!
ReplyDeleteOops, hit publish too soon. For example, by searching SU Bliss, it showed you used it for the background on a beautiful Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThose colors make for such a HAPPY birthday card!!! So CUTE Loll!!!
ReplyDeleteLoll, your card is just so bright and cheerful...5 colors....Wow!
ReplyDeleteI agree..your reorganizing will be easier when searching. TFS
