Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing the Christmas card I made for my good friend, Frances. She is one of my "crafty girls" group ... and we share a passion for card making as well as other crafts. I thought Fran would love the elegant look of white with just small touches of green. I did learn a lesson making this card. Because the bottom of the card has a curved shape to it ... any embellishments or dies should be centered so that the card doesn't tilt (oops!).
Stamps: Merry and Bright (Amy R)
Paper: White (Neenah), White (C.C. Designs); Old Olive (SU!)
Ink: Old Olive (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Blooming Poinsettia die (Poppy Stamps), Madera Corner die (Memory Box), Labels Two Nestabilities (Spellbinders), green glitter glue, mat and stylus, sponge, glue, and dimensionals
I shaped the petals of the poinsettia with my mat and stylus, sponged old olive green around the edges, glued the layers together and added some green glitter glue to the center. The Madera Corner die is covered with green glitter, which doesn't show in the photograph.
Here's a close-up of the poinsettia:

Oh Wow Lolly girl. This sure stands out.
Wow what a beauty!! :)
This is a standout, Lolly, with that old olive instead of the traditional red. Very yummo!! The shape and layering you did makes the card, alone, a doozy. With the flower and the flourish ... did I say, yummo?! And BTW, the green glitter shows up scrummily on my moniter. Let me just wipe it oofff, yup, that's your card all right! Hugs, Dolly
LOVE it, Loll! My fav has always been the white poinsettias and you've got the exact shading down to a 'T'.
Wow - such a striking card. And more proof that that poinsettia die is a must-have!
Beautiful poinsettia, Loll! I love that scroll die and the shape of the card!
How perfectly beautiful. Vee xx
