Hi everyone. Here's my Design Team card for the latest challenge at Addicted to CAS. I love sunflowers ... and had so much fun making this card. I used a sweet digital image from our sponsor, Bugaboo ... and used the marker layering technique.
This challenge is being run by the wonderfully, talented Caz (Cazro's Crafty Corner) ... and here's the awesome code word she chose ...
Stamps: Sunflowers Vase (Bugaboo); Be Happy Sentiments (Amy R)
Paper: White, watercolor; Hello Sunshine DP (Bo Bunny)
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Soft Suede (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: blender pen, 1/4" Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon, glue, and adhesives
The original digital image from Bugaboo is two sunflowers in the vase. I wanted to have a larger bouquet, so printed the image twice, used the marker layer to color the sunflowers, fussy cut them and then layered them on top of each other so that there are four in the bouquet. I'm really happy with how it turned out. And, the great thing about digital images, is that I printed the sunflowers again a third time onto watercolor paper, but smaller in size and added them to the inside of the card.
The vase is paper pieced using one of my favorites papers from Bo Bunny, called Hello Sunshine. A knotted ribbon and the card was done. So fun ... and easy, peasy! :)
Here's a close-up of the vase of sunflowers:
Here's the inside of the card with smaller sunflowers:
I hope I have inspired you to join in our fun challenge at Addicted to CAS - Flower. Come check out all the wonderful creations by the other Design Team members.

Beautiful, like a breath of sunshine! Love the clean, crisp look.
Gorgeous Loll! I love the way you layered those flowers and finished the inside.
I love all those sunflowers, Loll! I haven't seen any sunflower stamps in a while so this just made me smile. :) The layers look great!
I loved the idea that you used the image that you printed twice, and then layered together. Your flowers are so beautiful, and the look 3D. I actually came to check out how you made the flowers stand out to look so 3D. Very nice coloring really does the trick.
love-love-love the sunflowers Loll! The layering technique gives such a great depth!
