Hi everyone. It's the start of a new Queen for the Day challenge at SCS (QFTD176). This week the challenge is to honor a previous Queen with the initials M through O.
My dear friend Nancy is one of the previous Queens that I want to honor. I CASE'd this sweet card that Nancy made last year. I kept the same layout, and used the same embossing folder, but changed the focus of the card to a friendship card.
Here's a close-up:
I used the "You" die from Simon Says, gluing it to my card front just along the long, vertical piece on the Y ... this leaves the rest of the word loose and adds more dimension to the card.
Easy, peasy CAS card that was so much fun to make!!
Stamps: All About You (Amy R)
Paper: White (C.C. Designs), Red Glimmer (SU!)
Ink: Real Red (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Adorning Accents embossing strip (Sizzix for SU!), You die Simon Says, Stamp-a-ma-jig, glue, adhesives, and dimensionals
This is so pretty, Loll! I love the glimmery you! It just shines with all the white space!
ReplyDeleteWow this is CAS perfection Loll! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSimple. Elegant. Beautiful. What a lovely way to honor your friend. Great take on her pretty card too. TFS
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card! I love all the sparkle in your die cut and how you added so much dimension to your card! What a sweet way to honor your friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Loll - I love how the red really pops out against the white and the hearts are so pretty - hugs xx
ReplyDeleteLovely tribute to Nancy! CAS perfection!!
ReplyDeleteMakes my heart sing, CAS PERFECTION!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome Loll! I love the cas design, and subtle tone on tone texture. I often use texture like you have in place of a patterned paper...because although I hoard it I don't always know how to use it lol
ReplyDeleteLove this fab CAS design.

This is beautiful in it's simplicity Loll. Love the way you've only attached the first letter of the die cut and that embossed strip is gorgeous.
