Happy Summer!


Hi everyone.  Time for the another challenge at Addicted to CAS.  This time I paper pieced a sweet digital image from "by Lori Designs".  Her name is Lollipop and I just couldn't resist getting her!

Today's challenge is being run by the mega-talented Sue of Sue's Card Craft.  Sue has chosen this timely code word:

I paper pieced Lollipop's dress, shoes, hair ribbons and watermelon, adding layers to give even more interest.  The watermelon is popped up for added dimension.  The rest of the image is colored with copics ... a little chalk to color her cheeks and a dot of white gel pen.  I wanted the polka-dots to really stand out, so didn't add any other embellishments.  A simple sentiment finishes the card.

    This is such a happy card. Love the 'material' on her little dress & hairbows. Looks like a summer frock for sure. You do such wonderful paper piecing, and I understand why you couldn't resist this image. It's so cute, & made into an adorable summer card. TFS

    Soooo cute, Loll. I can nearly taste that watermelon! I grow watermelon at home and it is so juicy and yummy. Makes a mess though, lol. Your paper piecing is divine!! Perfectly CAS xx

    What a fantastic outfit she has from the polka dot dress and hairbows to the fancy shoes that remind me of some that Darnell has! Your paper piecing always amazes me! And the watermelon is making my mouth water!
