Peace on Earth

Hi everyone.  I am having so much fun making Christmas cards.  I know it's too early for some of you, but I need to make about 50 for myself ... and I'm making duplicates of most to donate.  Hopefully I'll inspire some of you to get an early start on your Christmas cards ... just think how wonderful it will be when the beginning of December rolls around, your cards are made ... and all you need to do is write on the inside and then mail them! :)

Today's card is for the Color Challenge at SCS (CC442 - Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point), with the "dessert"  being - adding dots to your card.  I don't have Coastal Cabana, so I subbed Bermuda Bay ... and my dots are water drops that I splattered onto my sponged background ... don't know if you can see them in the photo above, but you can in the close-up view.  Love that technique!

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Festive Friday (FFC16)

Christmas Card Challenges #40 - use something new - just got my new Paper Smooches Christmas Sentiments
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #140 - let's get inky - sponged the background (and most of my fingers too!) :)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for September - Anything Goes

Here's a close-up of the card:

I randomly sponged the three shades of blue ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  I die-cut two of the Country Landscape and layered them at the bottom.  I die cut the window (three times, layering them with glue to make a thick die-cut) and popped it on top of my background with dimensionals.  A simple sentiment completes the card.

Stamps:  Christmas Sampler (Paper Smooches)
Paper:  White (C.C. Designs); Whisper White (SU!)
Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  Big Shot, Country Landscape die (Memory Box), Small Arched Madison Window (Poppy Stamps), sponges, water, adhesives, and dimensionals

Another gorgeous card to add to your stash. I always love the MB dies, & how beautifully they were put to use on this lovely one. I really like how you added the 2 layers of the village behind the window. Will have to try this! TFS & Hugs
