Hi everyone. Fun, easy, CAS card for you today. This is for the Color Challenge at SCS (CC449 - cherry cobbler, old olive, sahara sand). I used a small strip of SU!'s Christmas DP called Season of Style. I love this cherry red tartan. It doesn't have Sahara Sand, but does have Crumb Cake ... so hope that's OK.
Here's a close-up:
I added some sponging around the outside edges of the holly leaves and then shaped the leaves and berry with my stylus and mat. I added a small white dot on the berry for interest.
I had an email the other day from Marilyn (thanks Marilyn!!), asking about the inside of my cards. You can see just a little peek inside on the top picture ... it's another strip of the tartan DP that I used on the front. If I use DP on a card, I always include a strip near the bottom of the inside for interest. If I hadn't included a strip of DP on this card, then I would have added a holly leaf and berry to the inside. I think it's a nice detail to add something on the inside if possible.
Stamps: Christmas Sampler (Paper Smooches)
Paper: White (C.C. Designs); Season of Style DP (SU!)
Ink: Old Olive (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Holly & Berry die (C.C. Designs), white gel pen, glue, stylus and mat, glue dot, adhesives, and dimensionals

Fab CAS Christmas, Loll! Love the autumn card you received from your friend, too. :)
Perfect, Loll. I love how you add interest to the inside of your cards. It has inspired me to do that too but only when I remember lol. Im hopeless!!! Hope you are well, my friend xx
I LOVE your perfect CAS CC449 card Loll. I almost used this DSP for my card and then went into an entirely different direction with my CC449 card. Funny how that happens some time. TFS your beauty and playing along with us this week. Hugs...

Gorgeous card, Loll - those holly berries are divine! Kudos to you for finishing the insides when you make the cards - I'm impressed!
great CAS card Loll. I need some ideas for some easy quick cards for Xmas as I just gave away my stash!
Beautiful card! I love the traditional colors and sponged leaves. I should decorate my insides too -when I'm finished with the cover, lazyness takes over! Well done you! :)
Perfectly CAS Christmas card, Loll! The shading on the leaves finishes it off so well.
Beautiful CAS Christmas creation and I love the little dot on your berry....just looks a glint of light hitting it.
Lovely bright & cheery card. You are the Queen of popping color against that white. Love the tartan trim carried over to the interior also. Wonderful idea. Your friend's card is so cute, and I can imagine how wonderful it made you feel to have a friend who took time to make you a special card. Card makers are so generous. TFS & Hugs
I love that tartan paper and the sweet holly! Perfectly CAS! I purposely don't show the insides of my cards, usually, since someone who sees my blog may get the card and I'd like to give something of a surprise.
What a perfect Xmas card Loll! I love the subtle plaid pattern and the sponged leaves...perfect?
The card Karen send is so sweet! I love the sweet scene...certainly deserving of a place of honor :)
