Hi everyone. My friend Nonni (Korttikarkuri) is holding a second Christmas card challenge ... this one starts today and runs until Dec. 24th. The theme is "Scrap a Happy Christmas" ... use scraps to make the main part of your card. Such a fun idea!!! We all have tons of scraps laying around and here's a chance to use some up, join in the fun ... and maybe even win some prizes!! Yep, Nonni has prizes from Stamplorations for the winner.
Here's the write up from Nonni explaining the challenge:
"Let's make Christmas cards using leftovers! If you are anything like me, your paper scraps box is overflowing and you might even have some odd, forgotten embellishments. Let's be creative, getting rid of our stash and make Christmas cards out of old bits and pieces. All styles are welcome!"
I used small scraps of red and silver glimmer papers to die-cut the letters and ornament. FYI, the ornament is three pieces all glued together:
Base - silver glimmer
Second: red glimmer - die-cut with the smallest circle nestie to create a frame of red
Top: red glimmer snowflake
Here's a close-up:
Stamps: Big Christmas Wishes (Amy R)
Paper: White; Modern Medley (music); silver glimmer, red glimmer (SU!)
Ink: Black (SU!)
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Lower Case Alphabet dies (My Favorite Things), Christmas Ornament die (My Favorite Things); small snowflake die (Impression Obsession), gold thread, glue, adhesives, and dimensionals
I hope you'll pop over to Nonni's blog and join in the fun!!
Edited to Add: I'm entering this into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for November - anything goes.
