Warm and Cozy Wishes


Hi everyone.  Time for the latest Merry Monday challenge (#87).  Hope you've had some fun playing along with our challenges this year.  Just a few more weeks to go and then we'll be celebrating Christmas! :)

Today's challenge is a theme ... check it out ...



I don't have any mitten stamps, so I googled digi images and found the one above.  It's a freebie on the Newton Nook Designs site.  I love the fun and whimsical patched mittens and sweet sentiment.  Paper pieced the mittens, adding some sponging around the outside edges to create depth.  Super CAS card that makes me smile ... and hopefully brings a smile to the person receiving as well. :)

Paper:  White; Seasons of Style DP, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler (SU!)
Ink:  Black, Crumb Cake (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  sponge, glue, adhesives and dimensionals

    OMGoodness, you find the most amazing things....now I will need to find that digi myself! So cute with the paper piecing and shading....and of course the sentiment fits perfectly!

    I'm seeing lots of mittens this afternoon as I surf about. Each card has been so different with the theme for MM - yours are delicious with the spotty pattern, and the little pocket heart. Your paper piecing is always so well done. TFS such a delightful & festive card. It will indeed bring a smile to the recipient's face. Hugs

    Loll, those mittens were a great find and you have paper pieced then beautifully. I love the wee hearts on them, and the sentiment is so perfect for the image. A gorgeous CAS card. PS. I always enjoy seeing which paper will be peeking out from inside the card. :)

    These are the coolest and sweetest mittens, Lolly! Remember when the kidlets were just wee and they needed mittens that were attached to each other like that? I wonder if they still make them that way? One things for sure, they need to be making them in this fun polka dot pattern!! I love this! Hugs, Dolly
