Hi everyone. A little more experimenting with my stencils ... this time I sprayed the soft blue background over my snowflake stencil. I mixed my own spray in a mister, filling it mostly with rubbing alcohol, and then adding a few drops of Frost White All Purpose Ink (it has shimmer ... unfortunately you can't see it in the photo), and about four drops of Bermuda Bay re-inker. I just purchased some misting bottles from Simon Says (they come in a three pack from Ranger), and I think I'm going to get more and make up lots of different colors of sprays to have on hand. This made for a quick, easy and beautiful background ... and as I mentioned, it's very shimmery and pretty too! :)
I added a simple banner with greeting and a snowflake die-cut from silver glimmer paper. Lovely CAS Christmas card.
I'm going to make this my second entry for the current challenge at CAS-ology #90 - cue card: Wet ... as well as the current challenge at Paper Smooches - Anything Goes. And also entering it into the Sparkle Christmas Challenge #19 - no patterned paper and my third entry into Virginia's View Challenge #2 - Stencils.
It's crazy how so many challenges have lined up for my cards lately :)
I'm going to enter this in a few challenges at Splitcoast Stampers (SCS). I have always listed them separately on my blog with links, but I'm just going to mention them briefly as they aren't challenges in the true sense. There is no time limit, no winners, no prizes ... it all just for fun. You need to be a member of the site to enter your cards (membership is free) ... it's also a great place to display your cards on-line if you don't have a blog ... and you can use the link at SCS to enter your cards into other challenge blogs. Today's challenge is about wind (or moving air) and the spray qualifies for that. It was my jumping off point for making today's card :)

LOVE! Pinning this for future casing. Not sure I can look at a snowflake right now! lol!
Beautiful! As you know - blue and white is my all-time favourite colour combination, but even aside from that, I love the greeting and silver snowflake, and your stencil turned out so well with your home-made spray.
How pretty! I have some spritzers and need to try this! The beautiful background is so perfect for the sparkly snowflake!
Lovely bunch of snowflakes. I like the effect of mist and stencil--it gives a soft, dreamy look to the card, which is quite pretty. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology (again) this week.
So beautiful Loll, you are doing such wonder things with these stencils. I love this one! I see where other's are making their mist and it is so amazing. Loving that you can custom match with your own inks! Hugs
