I've mentioned briefly a few times that my DMIL has been ill. She was diagnosed with advanced cancer in January 2013 and told she only had about three months to live. She had other plans ... one of which was to meet her first great-grandchild, Cooper. A year later, she got her wish. Below is a picture of her holding Cooper, which was taken in January of this year.
A few months ago, the cancer started to take over and by the beginning of March she was in the hospital. Two weeks later, she was moved to hospice care and on April 9th, Marie passed away. It's been a very difficult time for the family, but we are thankful that she was in no pain until the last few days. It is a blessing that she didn't suffer long. We miss you Marie ... you are forever in our thoughts.
So sorry for your loss Loll, thankfully she got her wish to meet her First Great Grandchild, what an achievement and a beautiful photograph to treasure always. Marie looks so happy here and so young, beautiful Lady.
