Mistletoe Wreath

Hi everyone.  Today's card is for the current challenge at Merry Monday, hosted by my good friend Bonnie (Merry Monday #123 - use a wreath).

I so happy I finally had time to join in with Merry Monday challenge.  It's been a long time, but I need to get working on my Christmas stash and this photo inspired me!

My wreath is made with a stencil (using a cut file and my Silhouette Cameo), covered with embossing paste.  Once it was dry, I placed the stencil back on top and sponged with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.  I thought these leaves looked like mistletoe, so added white pearl berries.  I added a die-cut sentiment from red foil paper (glued to white cardstock to add sturdiness before die-cutting).

The embossing paste wreath has texture and depth ... looks so much better in real life. :)

Paper:  White (Neenah); Red foil (unknown)
Ink:  Shabby Shutters Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)
Accessories & Tools:  Silhouette Cameo, wreath cut file, plastic sheet, embossing paste, palette knife, white half-pearls, Merry Christmas die (Simon Says)

Your stencil turned out great and I love that you colored over the embossing paste. The leaves do look like mistletoe so the pearls are a perfect accent.

A brilliant use of the silhouette & your embossing paste to make a delightful wreath. Loved the addition of the berries, and that sentiment looks like it was quite fiddly to handle. But so effective with this pretty wreath. Love it! TFS & Hugs

Note the date I am writing to you. My card group has been playing with embossing paste so I decided to see what you had to say. So I am going to go back and sponge on some color - which may be tomorrow's lesson (not taught by me). Thanks!
