Hi everyone. Time for a new challenge at ATS&M #112 - Make Your Mark (use any type of markers, pencils, etc.) on your project.
Prize: 3 images or up to $10
I did another watercolor using Stampin' Write markers from SU! LOVE this technique ... especially the background (there's a link to a video tutorial by Dina on the Tutorial Page of this blog).
After adding Baked Brown Sugar and Bashful inks for the background, I stamped the poppies in waterproof black ink and watercolored using my markers (yellow and three shades of orange). I wanted to add some of the poppy colors into the background, so I scribbled the inks onto my craft sheet, misted with lots of water, and then lightly dipped in my paper, just picking up a bit of the color and quickly mucked the wet ink about with my fingers (that's my technical term for it! :)
For the last bit, I splattered the card front with more of the orange and green and stamped the sentiment in black.
I hope you'll check out the challenge at ATS&M (#112 - Make Your Mark) and see the rest of the wonderful cards made by the very talented Design Team. And I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge!!
I used a NBUS (never-before-used-schtuff) stamp from Winnie & Walter for the card above, so I'm entering this into NBUS#2 Challenge on Darnell's blog.
