Hi everyone. Today's card is to celebrate my good friend Nancy's birthday ... it's actually tomorrow, but she has already received my card, so I'm sharing with you today! Happy Birthday Nancy - hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow, dear friend!! :)
This is my second card using this beautiful stamp from Penny Black. Love these poppies and they are perfect for watercoloring - this time I used pink. I used a different layout and design with the large sentiment stamped up the side (love this bold sentiment set).
I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Challenge - Anything Goes.

I'm also sharing a card that I made to honor TrishG from SCS. She was Queen for the Day a few weeks back and I'm late to the party. But wanted to honor her and thank her for all her hard work at organizing the QFTD challenges over the past couple of years ... she is retiring and we will miss her!
I CASE'd this beautiful card from Trish's gallery ... changing it up a little and making it more CAS with lots of white space. I used the same stamp as Trish (I don't believe I used this before and had it for ages!) :) Thanks for the inspiration Trish!!
I sponged the background with distress inks, sprayed with water to add texture and blend the inks, and then stamped my silhouette and sentiment in black. Easy, peasy card.
Stamps: Blooming Garden (Penny Black), The Big The Bold The Happy (Winnie & Walter)
Paper: White (Neenah); Watercolor (Arches 140 lb. cold press)
