More Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone.  Just a reminder about the wonderful challenge over at Mixed Media Card Challenge.  This month, the challenge is Autumn Colors with optional elements of metal or leaves (or both!).

I opted for both on today's cards.  I made the background panel first, squirting yellow, orange and dark orange re-inkers onto my craft sheet and spritzing with water.  I dragged a piece of watercolor paper through the ink, let it dry and repeated that a couple more times (drying in-between each layer of ink).  I love the saturated colors!  I used a stencil of leaves that I cut with my Silhouette, placing it over the inked paper, covering with Versamark and then coating with gold embossing powder which was heated to melt.  LOVE the look of this paper and decided I could probably cut it in half and make two cards ... which I did (the second one is below).

The bird and branch are cut from the Add A Little Dazzle metal sheets (chocolate).  I love this silhouette on the colorful background.  I added a simple stamped birthday sentiment to finish.

Here's the second card using a piece of the inked and stenciled watercolor paper ...this time I added a small strip of paper and a larger die-cut .. again cut from the metal sheets from Add A Little Dazzle.  I added a simple sentiment banner to finish.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge!  Hope to see you in the gallery!
