Holly Jolly Christmas

Hi everyone.  Today is the newest challenge at ATS&M (#118 - Holiday).  I focused on Christmas so I could get another card made for my stash :) ...

I had fun making this card ... I am loving my distress inks and started out by blending my favorite combination for the background (Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy).  I stamped over top with a new-to-me stamp from Penny Black, called Christmas Story.  Love it!!  I die-cut three holly leaves, sponged ink around the outside edges to add interest, coated them with green glitter glue, and then shaped them with my stylus and mat to give them some dimension.  Three red glitter balls were added for the berries and a simple sentiment banner finishes the card.

I hope you'll join at ATS&M for our "holiday" challenge.  Please click HERE to check out the challenge and to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the Design Team.  I hope you'll be inspired to play along with us! :)

  6. This is so CAS yet it packs a real wallop. Thanks for inspiring this great design. I have an IO CAC stamp similar to the PB script here. What a great idea to charge it up with the DI's, and that lovely holly sprig. Wonderful against that crisp white background. TFS & hugs.

  21. You are so great at making classy and elegant Christmas cards Loll! Heck you are great at making all your cards look elegant and classy. I love those two distress ink colors and must try them together as yours looks beautiful. I love how you did your holly leaves and I love the stickles on top of them as well. Do you use a brush or your finger to spread the stickles around?? How ever you do it, it is done with perfection! Hugs, Brenda
