Hi everyone. Back with another watercoloured card. This card was sent off to my good friend Kylie (Kylie is Addicted to Stamps) and she has now received it, so I'm sharing with you. :)
I've used distress inks again for this card ... they are so easy to work with and I love the saturated colors.
I'm going to enter this into a few challenges ... Simon Says - Use Watercolours; Time Out #16 (CASE Heather Telford with your own twist) (I changed from leaves to flowers); and AAA Cards #24 - autumn colours.

What a wonderful teacher you are, Loll! Frances' card is gorgeous! And so is yours!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Loll, your background and flowers are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your card! So beautiful! Just wondering - Are you using masking fluid for covering the flowers, when painting the background?
ReplyDeleteI think your friend did a superb job, too. I think she had the best teacher guiding her :)
Hi Elina. I'm not using masking fluid with this technique. I start with a base background (soft shades of tan) before watercolouring my flowers. I then add some of the colours I've used in the flowers to the background afterwards. It is a bit of a hit and miss as to whether the flowers will run a bit ... but I actually like the look when they do. :) Hope that helps. Loll xx
