Hi everyone. Back with another watercolored card. This one was sent to my very good friend, Nancy. She has now received the card, so I'm sharing it with you. :)
Used Distress inks again for this card ... the colors are more vibrant that with the Stampin' Up! inks (which I used on some of my watercolored cards to get a subtler look). This time I used masking so it appears that one leaf is behind the other. Definitely need practice ... but I'm learning lots. :)
I thought Nancy would appreciate these lovely fall maple leaves from her Canadian friend :)
I'm entering this into the Time Out challenge (#16 - CASE of Heather Telford). Heather's card is so amazing! Mine is a very CAS version. :)
And also entering into AAA Cards #23 - Watercolors (second entry); Virginia's View #8 - CAS (second entry) and also CAS-ology #116 (cue card: Splatter) - again, second entry. :)

Loll, this is so rich and deep and perfect for fall! Love the splatter, a perfect touch! Thanks for joining us at CASology!
ReplyDeleteConfining your splatter to a smaller, more dense area keeps this card clean and simple Loll! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteGreat CAS card! Thank you for joining us at the Time Out Challenge.
ReplyDeletethis is BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything about your card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow Loll, this is a stunning card!! I am so loving those maple leaves and the way you water colored them. You did an amazing job at masking the leaves to make the one look like it is behind the other one!! I really gives the illusion that the top leave is lifted up some, so I'd say you are doing great with that technique! The colors are so pretty and perfect autumn colors. The background amazes me too. I so want to be like you when I grow up. lol Hugs, Brenda
