Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing two cards I CASE'd (copy and share everything) from myself. :)
This year my Christmas gift to my sister Dee, is to make some Christmas cards for her to send to family and friends. She received them a few months ago and they have now all been sent out, so I thought it was safe to share with you.
Dee picked out two CAS designs from earlier this year and asked for nine of each. I wanted to change them up a little from my original, but as you can see from below, there's not too much difference with the card above. I tried different sentiments, but decided that this one worked best, so stayed with it. I did change up the snowflake to silver glimmer paper and added a circle frame from the same pretty paper. And I added a silver foil backing to the aperture (the original was open to the inside of the card).
Here's the original ... like I said ... not too much different. Click HERE for the original post and details.

The second card Dee picked is fun and whimsical. I love these three winter sparrows from Lawn Fawn. I tried using different colors for the birds from my original card, but decided I'd stick with the same ... they just work. I did change up the perspective, making some of the new cards portrait, and I added some embossing paste "falling snow" for the background. The birds and branch are fussy-cut and popped up on top of the card base.
Here's one of the new versions ...

Love the birds and the "embossed" snow drops enclosed in a circle. You are my inspiration. Please keep posting. I should comment more often and not just silently admire your great cards.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards .... I love the little birds. Maybe I'll ask you do do mine next year!
ReplyDeleteJust in case I don't get back here in time, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! Love n hugs ... Linda xx
I love both your cards with the added touches. I think card sets make the best gifts :-) TFS my friend. Merry Christmas to you and the family. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteGosh Loll, I don't know how you do it, but you made even CASE'd your own cards and made them better than the original ones! I loved the original ones, but I love the newer ones even more! What a great gift too for your sister. I love this idea! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteGorgeous first card- so elegant! Super fun 2nd card. I bet your sister loves you being in the family ;)
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd then the suave Christmas card in silver is amazing. From cute to sophisticated! That is talent!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, Loll. I admire how you took 2 of your own cards and made them even better than the originals. I especially love the addition of the falling snow.
ReplyDeleteWith 2 such pretty cards originally, you've done a wonderful CAS. Love the snowflake treatment on #1...and all the gleam & shine. The simplicity is just elegant because of the treatment you chose. I have these little LF birds and they make me smile even when I just see the stamp. They're darling with the colors you've selected, and your paste embossing snowflakes really soar this card. Merry Christmas, TFS & Big Hugs. Thanks so very much for that stunning candle card. We loved it! Thank you for thinking of us with such a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards Loll and great CAS job

Love the previous cards and really love the changes you've made! The glimmer paper adds such elegance and I like the falling snow behind the delightful birds! A lot of fussy cutting there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift! I love both designs, but especially the first one. The silver backing works just as well as the opening on the original card.
ReplyDeleteStunning cards as usual Loll I love the original, so classy! Merry Christmas to you and your family
