First up for the CAS Challenge (and also for the HLS Sketch as well). :)
I created the background using the Stencil Monoprint technique with yellow and pink sprays on mixed media paper. I inked my stamp with markers, spritzed with water and stamped over top (watercolour spritz technique) . Then I used a waterbrush to move the colours around a little to create this very loose, watercoloured image. So soft and delicate. I thought it looked like a watercolour painting, so I framed it. :)

Next the Sketch Challenge (and also for the HLS CAS - Stamping) ...
This large bouquet of flowers is stamped onto watercolour paper and watercoloured using distress inks and a water brush. I added glossy accents to the "glass" bowl.

And last for the Christmas Challenge (and also for the HLS CAS - Stamping) ...
I stamped with waterproof ink onto watercolour paper and then used distress inks to watercolour. I splattered the background with some diluted white acrylic paint. So fun and easy to do. :)
All three challenges is open for another couple of weeks, so there's lots of time to play along. Come join in the fun!!

All 3 of your gorgeous watercolored cards deserve their own comments my friend:-) I love how you used several different watercolor techniques and loved every single result! Card1: LOVED how you framed your soft and pretty watercolored picture. Card2: your glossy accents looks just like water for your beautiful bowl of flowers :-) Card3: Watercolor is beautiful and Love your acrylic snow drops :-)
ReplyDeleteTFS all your cards Loll and Congratulations to Lorraine and Bonnie!
Big congratulations to your winners (happy to see a familiar name is showing too!). Of course I am loving all 3 of these beauties. The GA on #2 really did look like water in a vase...and love the bouquet. That is some fab w/c on this one. I like the subtle look on #1 with the soft colors..and how pretty it looked framed as you've done it. #3 is just a wonderfully festive Christmas scene. The falling snowflakes are so very pretty against the sky, and the house & tree coloring kept the vivid tones so nicely. You've really got the w/color gene! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteGreat work Loll. All are beautiful. I need to try the watercolor fad!
ReplyDeleteAll three are lovely! Beautiful stencil monoprint on the first one - and it definitely deserved framing! A perfectly coloured bouquet on the second and a wonderful winter scene for the Christmas one.

ReplyDeleteFabulous cards as ever Loll! It's funny, but before I read your write up, I was thinking, "that (the flower in the frame) looks like a watercolour painting, I'd have to frame that" . . . and lo, you did! Stunning! Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteThree lovely designs Loll - the watercolor look to the first deserves to be framed! Your cut flowers in the clear glossy vase are so pretty - and that winter scene is so cozy!

ReplyDeleteLoll, all three of your cards are so fabulous! Both flower cards are amazing but the flowers in the vase are over the top, both beautiful and genius!, your card with the Christmas scene is so peaceful and sweet.
ReplyDeleteThree stunners, Loll, each of them beautiful. I love the Glossy Accent vase, the hint of texture from the acrylic paint snow splashes (must try that), but my out-and-out favourite is that delicate flower. I love the softness of the colours and the blurred image. Fabulous!

ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards, Loll! I love that you framed the first one...so perfect for your water colored bloom, and how you colored the flowers and leaves on the 2nd card! Your white splatters on the Christmas card really add to the wintery feel and beauty of this lovely card!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are awe inspiring, Loll. The first one is my favorite, well worthy of framing, not only on a card but on the wall.
