Butterfly Fly Away

Hi everyone.  Having fun playing with my new Happy Little Stampers stamps. :)

This time I used the Butterfly Birthday set.  I stamped the butterfly in brown and heat embossed with clear.  Then I used two distress inks to colour (twisted citron, mermaid lagoon --- LOVE these together!).  I fussy-cut the butterfly and popped it up on my card front over top of stenciled leaves.  I finished by stamping the sentiment in the same brown as the butterfly.  Easy and fun card to make.

I'm entering this into the Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #159 - CAS.  And I'm entering into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

That's it for me today ... quick card and quick post. :)

Have a great rest of the week and thanks for stopping by.

    1. Hi Donna. Hope you check back for the info ... I don't have your email address. I used Grafix plastic sheets .007 thickness and I purchase them through Amazon.com. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001K7Q6Z0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

  19. It's been too long since I had a chance to zip in here to see what wonderfulness you've created. No disappointment tonight to enjoy this gorgeously colored butterfly. The colors combined look just wonderful on the delightful image (which I hope will be my next purchase. I needed the sentiment sets first!). The butterfly seems to be as versatile as the sentiments. Love the leafy stenciling behind him. You are a dab hand at keeping the stenciling done with a light hand, so that it's very 'airy' - just perfect for a butterfly perch. Bloomin' gorgeous! TFS & hope you're having a fun wkend. Hugs

  20. Terrific looking card, Loll. Butterflies are one of my faves -- both in life and for stamping -- and I just got those 2 Distress markers colors in mail yesterday so may have to give this a whirl. I like that b'fly is stamped in brown.
