Hi everyone. Welcome to the start of the Happy Little Stampers August CAS Challenge. This month it's all about Masking.
I used three different types of mask for the card above. To create my one layer card, I used post-it note tape to mask off 1" border at the bottom. I wanted to leave it white for the sentiment. Then I stamped my flowers and watercoloured them using my Zig Watercolor Pens. I stamped the flowers onto post-it note paper and cut out masks for each of the flower heads ... it's a bit picky as the flowers are very small, but it went fairly fast. :) I masked the flower heads and then inked up my large script stamp. I ripped a paper towel to create a mask as I just wanted the script near the bottom. Then I sponged around the side and bottom edges.
Lots of fun to make. :)
I hope you'll check out the HLS Masking challenge HERE. Joanna (Harty by Heart) is joining us as our Guest Designer this month. She makes the most amazing CAS cards, and she also does a lot of video tutorials. Make sure you check out her blog ... you'll be glad you did!! And also check out the challenge to see the amazing cards from the rest of the Design Team.
Come join in the fun .. made a CAS card that has some sort of masking and enter the linky, which is open for the whole month. On the challenge site, you'll find links to some masking video tutorials for inspiration.
Thanks for coming by ... hope to see you in the HLS CAS Gallery!
