Hi everyone. It's the start of the Happy Little Stampers November Sketch Challenge.

I had fun with my sprays again ... LOVE them! :) I made a sprayed background a while back and had it sitting in a box ... it worked perfectly for my butterfly. I used yellow and bright green sprays, and there was also a leaf stencil over top, but you can't see the design with such a small piece. :) I used the same colours to create my main panel .. using mixed media paper and blotting with a paper towel every time I sprayed a new colour. This kept the background the same colours, but with a softer look. A simple stamped sentiment banner and a few sequins and the card was done.

You always do such fabulous backgrounds, Loll, whether spraying, smooshing, inka golding, whatever.
I love how you got the softer shades by blotting! I need to remember that. The greens are so perfect for the butterfly that looks like it's just perched!
Good idea using the blotting to get the lighter version of the same colours. So pretty! And perfect placement of the sequins (something I always agonize over!).

Another soft & surreal beauty. Love the fresh colors that are such a wonderful background for this gorgeous butterfly. The green sequins look perfect drifting down the space. As I write, the snowflakes are tumbling down, creating a slick on the roads that I'm just not ready to 'weather' yet! Seeing your card is like a fresh burst of spring...gorgeous background and you already know I'm swooning, swooning over the beautiful butterfly! So excited that dies will be joining this set!
