Hi everyone. Sharing a card today with a new-to-me stamp (I think this has been around for a while, but I just bought it). Love this sweet snowman. :) Stamped the image onto my card front, a second image onto a piece of mixed media paper, and a third stamping onto a post-it note. Cut out a mask from the post-it note and placed it on my card front. Used a falling snow stencil to add white embossing paste, sprinkled with iridescent embossing powder while it was still wet. Once dry, I heat embossed the falling snow. It's quite sparkly in real life, but doesn't show up in the photo above.
I used my Zig Watercolour pens to colour the second image, fussy-cut and layered it on top of my card front image. Just adds a little dimension. The present was fussy-cut and popped up on dots so it has more dimension that the snowman. Stamped a simple sentiment to finish.
Quick, easy and fun card to make. :)

Sharing a picture of a small sampling of cookies I made this year. I made some for us ... but most to give away. Adding up all the cookies, I made just shy of 60 dozen. Crazy, right??!! :) Almost half (28 doz) are the iced sugar cookies on the left (aren't they pretty?!).
Wishing all of you the best of the season. Enjoy your time with family and friends.
Thanks to everyone that stopped by for a visit and to those that took the time to leave me comments. I appreciate your support and kind words. Merry Christmas! xx

Loll, lovely card. This snowman and gift look wonderful in blues and greens. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to the New Year and learning more.
ReplyDeleteI did choc chip biscuits this year and Elysha and I went and gave to all our neighbours. I was amazed by how nice it felt just giving something to others and Elysha loved every minute and all the hugs she got for her efforts. Take Care
Your snowman card is adorable Loll! I love that sweet snowman and love all the layers and snow you have added to it. I also love your cookies, they look so yummy!! I made about that many cookies too, it kept me busy and my mind occupied. I plan on making sugar cakes today. It's always fun to ice cookies, but I didn't go any of those this time around. I know your neighbors/friends will enjoy those delicious cookies!! Merry Christmas Loll to you and yours!!! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove this, Loll! Your layering and embossing paste took a simple and fun card up about 5 notches to an eye-catching one - yet still CAS!
ReplyDeleteChristmas blessings to you and your family. (60 DOZEN cookies?????????? Wow!)
Love the vivid coloring on this Snowy...and admire your Zig coloring. I practiced on some things today, finally gave it up as a bad effort. Just wasn't working for me on the 4 very simple images I was coloring. Using w/C paper, but whatever it was I trimmed up to stamp, just didn't take the colors well. Hard to blend. Maybe try again tomorrow. TFS & Hugs
DeleteFun to make and darling to look at, Loll. I love the colors in his scarf and hat.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a darling image, and I love what you've done with it. It goes on my Wish List. TFS.
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming little snowman, and I love how you colored his hat, scarf, and present! Love all the texture with your falling snow, too! Really cute card, Loll!
ReplyDeleteI would like to purchase this stamp. Is it still available. If so please send me the information.
