Hi everyone. A couple of weeks ago I posted a retirement card I had made for a friend I used to work with. Today I'm sharing another. Just back from lunch out with my two friends that retired, so they both now have their cards. :) Happy Retirement Georgia & Patt!!
I used my Zig Watercolour Pens on watercolour paper. I first stamped the main flower in black waterproof (archival) ink, added a mask on top, and added a couple of scrolls and leaves. Once watercoloured, I used my white gel pen to add some interest ... just adding dots here and there. The sentiment is stamped onto black card stock and heat embossed in silver. It's the only Retirement sentiment I have ... so tiny! :)
Stamps: Peony Scrolls (Altenew); Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU!)
Paper: Watercolour (Arches 140 lb. cold press); Black card stock (SU!)
Ink: Black Archival (Ranger); Versamark; Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens (Kuretake)
Accessories & Tools: water brush, white gel pen, silver embossing powder
Great CAS card Loll love your beautifully coloured flower

I love these Altenew flowers but have yet to get any! This is so pretty, Loll! I love the colors and the bits of white that add extra interest! I know she was thrilled to get it!
ReplyDeletelovely way to use those stamps - love them - i have lost the little stamp with the 2 leaves to that set - what a bummer - it fell off the backing sheet and when away somewhere:-(!!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love this card Loll! That flower is just gorgeous! Peony's are one of my favorite flowers. My husband's grandmother had lots of Peony's, they gave them to my neighbor, who I was going to ask for some since we live in my husband's grandparents home, but then last winter's brutal cold killed them all! I'm was heartbroken as was my neighbor. I love the touches of white gel pen used on the flower and love the vibrant colors from the Zigs. Gorgeous! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Loll! I bet your friends loved their cards! Good old Santa eh? Have a lovely evening! Hazel xx

ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercoloring with your Zig markers, Loll! I love your CAS design, and how you added details to the bloom...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one who shops this way with hubby...I guess being married as long as us (we just hit 41 years), we have it down to a science...even though my DD thinks it's 'tacky'! She'll learn when her hubby gets her a 'Dustbuster' for her birthday! Seriously, that was the last straw for me :)
Love the way you and Gord buy each other's Christmas presents - so perfect! And I love this flower stamp - so pretty with the scrolls behind it and the white gel pen accents.
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection Loll, love how you added the white touches x
