More Copper with Alcohol Inks
Hi everyone. Hope you aren't sick of seeing my copper cards. :) This is another one that I started last Saturday when friends were over crafting. We added alcohol inks to our copper metal die-cuts and then blotted up with a bit of paper towel. It is even prettier and shinier in real life. :)
LOVE this large maple. I made it as a sample to show the girls, but then didn't end up making any more as I used one of those wafer thin dies to cut the copper and it was a PITA to get it cut out. :) But I made darn sure that I used it after spending lots of time fiddling with it. Love the vein embossing and how it took the alcohol inks (I used just yellow and red).
I also like it over top of a wood embossed background. And happy with how it looks with the black sentiment border embossed in white. Easy card to put together since the maple leaf was already done. :)
Since it' a CAS card and it has some Yellow --- the optional element for STAMPlorations March CAS Challenge, I'm heading over to enter there.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

What a beautiful leaf, Loll! WOW! Love the white embossed sentiment on the black and the woodgrain background is perfect for showing it all off!
I really, really love all your copper elements! No way, I am getting tired of them! Keep them coming! Why was this leaf so hard to cut out? Or does it happen every time and you have just never mentioned it?
Absolutely love the woodgrain background and the white on black sentiment with that gorgeous leaf!
That gorgeous leaf is perfect against the woodgrain embossed background. Love seeing all the results of our get together!
I don't think I'll ever tire of copper! It makes such a beautiful card! Thanks for introducing it to us! Love the alcohol ink with copper, adding so much color and interest to this!

Wow, just gorgeous Loll! I love the work you do with the alcohol inks, I really must try to use mine more often. hugs :)
The alcohol ink looks wonderful on the copper Loll - I wonder if you put a piece of wax paper between the copper and the die it would come out easier?? Julia xx
Beautiful Loll!
Never sick of copper and never sick of leaves :) Absolutely gorgeous, Loll!
So fabulous! Amazing color~
So many things I adore about this card, Loll... The nature theme, the embossing folder you used, the maple leaf... In short, what's not to love???
So glad you stuck with it - the results are worth the hassle - Just beautiful!
Love this copper look, Loll! So eye-catching and against the wood embossed panel - even better! Another technique to add to the list! (Evidently I simply have to quit my day job to have enough time to make any progress on my list!)
Loll, how can you think we could ever be sick of seeing these stunning copper works you create. Every time I see one of these cards I am blown away, it is just so wonderful. The colours you manage to create in the copper, well I am working on it myself with my husband hovering in fear of me burning the place down.
Loll, I always love seeing your creations! They are all so well balanced in colours and layouts, and your explanations of techniques are so precious for me being just a beginner in Mixed Media world. Thanks for sharing with us at STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge. - Ksenija
Never get bored of seeing the copper cards they are always so amazing and life like such rich shiny luscious colours .

I'd never get tired of seeing your copper leaves. Autumn is my favorite time of year because of all the beautiful copper colors.
Wow, Loll ... who could get tired of seeing such beauty?! Love the crisp crinkly shimmer of the leaf against the textured woodgrain ... simple image, HUGE impact! Hugs, Anita :)
OMG, I love this. Absolutely stunning inkwork and I agree so fab with that woodgrain. Would wax paper or a dry sheet help with getting the die out? or a piece of scor tape. I've had successful using that for PTI clouds
Oh my, this is so striking, Loll! I'm amazed that you achieved the depth of color with only red and yellow ~ WOW! Your maple leaf is perfect with the woodgrain background, too...Stunning card!
