STAMPlorations CAS Challenge Guest Designer

Hi everyone.  Today I'm honoured to be the Guest Desiger for STAMPlorations March CAS Challenge - YAY! :)

Here's is the challenge.

I love how sunny, fresh and spring-like this card is with this bright yellow sprayed background.  I used my watercolour sprays to create it, just adding the one shade of yellow.  Quick and easy and it adds a lot of visual texture. :)

I stamped the bloom and leaves onto mixed media paper, coloured with my Zig Clean Color Real Brushes, moving the colour around and blending with a waterbrush. Again, another easy technique!  I fussy cut the flower and leaves, and then popped them up over my torn vellum sentiment banner.

I hope you'll come check out the STAMPloration's March CAS Challenge and see all the beautiful cards made by the Design Team.  And I hope you'll play along.

And since I used STAMPlorations stamps, I'm linking up to the Never Ending "Anything Goes" challenge at STAMPlorations.

-----

Also, this card is another example of CAS Mix Up.  A CAS design with mixed media products or techniques and fits the March challenge of Watercolouring.  I have stamping, watercolouring (watercolour spray background + watercoloured flower with zigs) and "my choice" is vellum, heat embossing and fussy-cutting.

Edited to add:  Thanks to my wonderful friend Sandie's suggestion, I'm heading over to link up my Spring card at Time Out Challenges.  They are celebrating their two years --- congrats to them!  Their theme this time is Easter and/or Spring with the twist of masking. :)

Thanks for coming by for a visit!

  2. So gorgeous! I fell in love with that sprayed background -- I stay away from sprays because I'm too messy and when I spray, my backgrounds never look as beautiful as yours! So happy to have you at STAMPlorations, Loll!

  4. Such a pretty card Loll! So fresh and I love the torn vellum strip for the sentiment - great minds think alike, I put a card up on Instagram yesterday with a torn strip of vellum for the sentiment - I didn't bother to blog it as it was almost identical to the one I made for this month's HLS card! This pretty card has made me yearn for spring, but I suppose we shouldn't wish our time away like that eh? Have a lovely evening my friend! Hazel xx

  35. Wow, this is a beautiful card Loll! I love that sprayed background, although I'm not sure what a sprayed watercolored background is, I just know I love it! lol That beautiful flower is gorgeous, I need a lot more practice with my Zig markers because my coloring doesn't look anything like yours! I think I need to practice with a larger image maybe. I love this card because it is so happy looking to me and I'm so ready for spring sunshine to beam down in my life. Hugs, Brenda
