Hi everyone. It's the start of the CAS Mix Up May Challenge ... so exciting! :)
Bonnie and I were thrilled (AGAIN!) with the amount of creative and inspiring entries for CAS Mix Up's April Challenge - Stenciling. :) Thanks to everyone who shared their awesome cards with us!
Here's this month's challenge ...
First, Bonnie and I are thrilled to welcome Nancy Littrell (scandinancy creates), and Susan Bridgman (CardmakersGarret) to the CAS Mix Up Design Team. YAY!
Also, we have the amazing card artist, Karen (Snippets) as our Featured Designer for May. Welcome Karen!
And ... we have Betty Keefe (created by bjk) joing us as our first Guest Designer. Betty was the winner of our CAS Mix Up challenge in March - Watercolouring with THIS AMAZING CARD. Welcome Betty!

On to my card ...
I white embossed a random bit of script for my background and then sponged over top with three colours of ink. This technique is called Emboss Resist, where the embossing resists the inks.
I punched three small daisies, shaped them with my stylus and tweezers and then glued them together. If you are interested in how I shape my daisy flowers, click HERE to see a written tutorial.
A small circle punch of yellow sponged card stock was glued to the center of the flower, and then coated with glossy accents. Two small leaves where die-cut from green sponged card stock, and three tips of a die-cut sprig were added to enhance the daisy. I added a little clear glitter glue to the rounded tips for a bit of sparkle. To finish, the sentiment was heat embossed in silver.
All in all it was an easy card to make. My card has stamping, heat embossing and "my choice" is sponging and die-cuts with shaping. :)
Here's a close-up of the flower ...
I hope you'll come play along with our CAS Mix Up May Challenge - Heat Embossing. See you in the gallery! :)

Your card is so beautiful and sweet Loll. I love your heat embossed background and sponging. Your punched daisy is the perfect embellishment. Thank you again for the honor of being chosen with Susan as your new DT members :-) Hugs, Nancy
Does this ever look fresh & spring like with the sponged colors you've selected to highlight the white script. Very pretty background for the splendid daisy, and liked the idea of the gleaming center. The silver script Birthday really shines against all the other colors too. Hurray for the lineup of talent you've got for this month's guest designers & new team members as well. Great going! TFS & Hugs
CAS perfection Loll! Your blending over the French script is so soft and pretty and is the perfect background for that lovely daisy. Beautiful card...this will definitely bring a smile to someone's face!! :0)
How beautiful this is! Your white script is stamped so clearly and it's gorgeous. Love your summer colors Loll and your sponging is so perfectly blended.

Wow, Loll, Pamellia just stole the first sentence right out of my mouth! You do CAS like no other--just stunning with colors that are so fresh, it makes you want to slap them! Ha! Ha! That daisy is just a delight with the glossy center and those sprigs to set it off! Gorgeous!
Love the softness of this beautiful card, Loll! Great example of why emboss resist is probably my favorite technique!
So pretty. And so happy to see that your challenge has taken off like gangbusters! Congrats. And well done ;)
I'm completely smitten over this sweet card, Loll! I love how you made the daisy. The GA add the perfect shine to the center and those little whispies really make the daisy stand out. Beautiful!!
Fresh and zesty and gorgeous, Loll ... that daisy is so pretty against the soft sponging! Hugs, Anita :)
What a beautiful card Loll! I love that daisy, so pretty. I need me a good daisy die or punch. lol Well, I don't need, but you know how it goes. I love the inking, the colors are so fresh and clean like after a spring rain. Love the embossing too. I know I don't emboss enough and I always love it. Going to try and play along if I get myself pulled together. Hugs, Brenda
This card is simply stunning. I love the contrast between the stark white daisy with precise petals with the beautiful colour-blending with varying degrees of colour; the white embossed script makes the background, well, simply stunning!
I absolutely ADORE this card, Loll.
It's absolutely amazing...
