Hi everyone. I was inspired by today's Muse: Christmas Visions #45 Challenge by Cornelia. Gorgeous card, and even though mine looks a lot different than Cornelia's card, it has the same layout with the curved division.
Cornelia's card
Today I received some new craft goodies in the mail. I LOVE this tree stencil and paired it with my new deer trio die-cuts.
Even though this looks like a complicated card, it is not. I simply placed my tree stencil over some mixed media paper, sprinkled with a little of the black brushos (black is one of my favourites as it has MANY colours within the one little pot of goodness). I spritzed with water, removed the stencil and blotted with paper towel. Background done. :)
I tore two pieces of white card stock for my snow drifts, and added two of my deer die-cuts. Simple stamped greeting and the card was finished.
I still had one more deer left, so made a second card with the same design, only changing it to landscape.
Fun and easy ... and now I have two more Christmas cards for my stash. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh my gosh Loll, this may be one of my favourite designs of yours!! I just love the deep colours in the forest sky, what a calm serene wintery scene you created. And the deer, love the deer! Wow, this is so pretty Loll. Love that background.
Wow, Loll. That background sounds so simple and yet the effect is stunning! And I love the deer. They match perfectly!
I know you can hear me going "AAAH", as I love the black brusho color as well. It's so neat to watch all the colors that bloom when you use it. And it bloomed in a stunning fashion as the background for your gorgeous trees (and I have some tree stencils AND some dies that will do this!) Brilliant idea to add the dimensional die on top of the trees. Just a fantastically awesome & super designed card. LOVE it! Happy wkend. TFS
These are both AMAZING!
That background is amazing, Loll. I love the trees but what the Brusho did between really looks like a beautiful watercolor.
I absolutely adore these cards with these gorgeous backgrounds and super color combo!
Sorry that I am so late in commenting but I've had a crazy, busy week (not quite over yet) and am only now starting to catch up with my blogging friends!
These cards are stunning. The mix of colours behind the trees is so pretty; I never would have thought of those colours for a forest scene but it is beautiful. I also would never have guessed you did it with black brusho!

Love your interpretation of Cornelia's card. Your background is fabulous!!
Stunning card! It looks more like a painting, than a card. Background is fabulous, love it so much!
I've been afraid to try the black in my Brusho collection, but not after seeing this gorgeous card, Loll! BEAUTIFUL take on Cornelia's card!!!
Beautiful card, your trees are absolutely gorgeous!
Stunning cards, Loll, and a fabulous interpretation of Cornelia's card! I love the black Brusho, and it's worked perfectly for these cards.
All your cards are always fab Loll but in these deer cards you've outdone yourself! Wow! The bg looks so amazing and I love the torn snow banks. Such wonderful card. I wish I'll receive one of these for Christmas. :)
Wow love how the black brusho split, not used it on it's own, thanks for the inspiration.
Gorgeous and so simple! I'll be trying this out for sure! Julia xx
I'm not at all surprised your card won over at Christmas Muse. It's breathtaking.
It does look hard Loll, but glad to hear that this technique isn't hard at all. Now I must give it a try sometime! Love, love, love this card, the background colors are just gorgeous. I would have never thought it was black brusho's though! Wow!!! Hugs, Brenda
This is so beautiful! The background looks great, and those deer have been on my Wish List for a very long time.
