CAS Mix Up June Challenge

Hi everyone.  Today is the start of the CAS Mix Up June Challenge - Die-cuts.    I'm so excited about this challenge ... I LOVE using die-cuts. :)

I started this card by randomly adding some embossing paste through a mesh stencil.  The window was die-cut from white card stock and also from fun foam, then glued together for added dimension.

The leaves are die-cut in patterned paper, and the flowers from solid coloured card stock.  I used a small sponge dauber to sponge around the outside of all the flower petals, then used a stylus and mat to add shaping.  Check out my video on adding dimension to leaves (used same technique for adding dimension to the flowers).

I used a NBUS Pearl pen to add the flower centers.  The window, flower and leaf die-cuts were assembled together and attached over the embossing paste background.  A stamped sentiment finishes the card.

Here's a close up so you can see the shading and shaping ...

My CAS Mix Up card has stamping, die-cuts with sponging and shaping,  and stenciling with embossing paste ... and it's still a CAS card. :)

We are so excited to have Hazel Kinvig-Paul (My Card Attic) as our Featured Designer this month.  Welcome Hazel!

And we are also excited to have Barb Ghig (Barb's Studio Creations) as our Guest Designer for June.  Barb was the winner of the CAS Mix Up April Stenciling challenge with THIS AWESOME CARD.

Come join in the fun and make a CAS mixed media card using die-cuts.  Hope to see you in the gallery.

I used snippets for all the die-cuts on this card (window, flowers, leaves) so I'm heading over for a visit to the Snippets Playground.

And CAS-ology is celebrating their 200th Challenge --- congrats to the team on this major milestone!!  The challenge is CAS for CAS-ology, so I'm going to enter there as well.

Extraordinary, Loll. I love how the brick only goes part way across leaving room for the sentiment. I need to remember that.
