Hi everyone. Today I'm playing with a beautiful image I received from my friend Betty. She sent me a few heat embossed hydrangeas to play with. Thanks again Betty! This one has liquid platinum embossing (I do LOVE this colour of embossing powder by Ranger). I sponged on some ink using small daubers and then fussy cut. There were a couple of "extra" blooms that Betty sent, so I sponged and fussy cut them as well and popped them up in the middle of the flower for more dimension. I used a pearl pen to add dots to the middle of each blossom.
The background is done with a stencil monoprint of a circle stencil of different sized dots. This is such a cool stencil from ARTplorations / STAMPlorations. Because you can only see it peaking through the outside edges of the hydrangea, I thought it had a bokeh look.
I'm entering this card in a few challenges. STAMPlorations June CAS - Anything Goes (with an optional twist: blue) --- I added the twist. :) ATS&M #196 - Anything Goes and ATCAS #89 - Code word: Petals
Edited to add: Since I used a STAMPlorations stencil for my background (Bubble Dance), I'm entering this into the Never-Ending Anything Goes at STAMPlorations (you must use one of their stamps or stencils on your project).

You amaze me at how you come up with all the splendid designs you create. Love the Platinum embossing on this one, and the background is perfect. You're right...it does have a bokeh look about it, and so pretty with the pink petals. I think the Platinum gives a warmer look than just silvered. So gorgeous, and big congratulations on the new family member. TFS & Hugs.
