Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a stenciled card that I made for a friend's birthday a while ago.
I started with a lightly smooshed background of Inka Gold (turquoise and green). Then embossing paste was added partially over a mesh stencil.
Turquoise Inka Gold was sponged onto a piece of white card stock. When dry, it was buffed to a beautiful shine and then die-cut into a leaf sprig. The second leaf sprig is cut from vellum and is tucked behind the turquoise leaves, just to add a little bit of a shadow. A simple birthday sentiment was stamped in Delicata Silver ink onto a banner. Delicata inks are beautiful and metallic without having to heat emboss.
I do love to play with stencils! And this was a lot of fun to make.
One more reminder card for the June CAS Mix Up Challenge (Die-cuts). The challenge closes in three days. Come join us!

This is gorgeous Loll, love the very pretty background...so delicate. Carol x
So pretty! Love the soft and subtle colouring of the background with that shimmery deliciousness of your die-cut petals.
So pretty Loll. I love your subtle Inka Gold background with your textured stenciling. The perfect background for your gorgeous Inka Gold Turquoise shiny die cut leaves. I must try that technique. TFS and always inspiring me my friend. Hugs, Nancy
Amazing Loll! I shall have to try embossing paste over a smooshed card...great idea!!
Beautiful card Loll. Love that Inka Gold and the smooshing.
Love the layering you've done here, while keeping it totally CAS, Loll! The subtle smooshing in the background, followed by the stenciling adds such texture! Topped off perfectly with the die cut leaves. A beauty!
That Inka Gold really shines, Loll. And the texture with the embossing paste puts the card on the A+ list.
Love the subtlety of the Inka Gold background! And your leaves are fabulous - great to have the vellum one there as almost a shadow for the Inka Gold one.
Beautifully done, Loll!

It sure looked like fun...absolutely beautiful. You do colour combinations so well and fabulous with the stenciling, gorgeous x Thank you for the stunning inspiration x
Inka Gold smooshing- my next project! I love how the color comes through the modeling paste! You bring your die cuts to life with your beautiful forming!
I love how the blue smoosh in the background looks like a shadow of those beautiful leaves! The stenciling adds a wonderful rough texture that complements the smooth, shininess of the Inka Gold! Awesome card, my friend!
Haven't used embossing paste in too long! Your gorgeous card motivated me... I am always impressed how you use plenty of technique but your cards still look clean!
Wow, this is one beautiful card! Clean and crisp, I love it.

Sooo beautiful!!
Oh my gosh, this is SO pretty, Loll! I adore the soft color palette and the texture of the paste. The shimmery leaves on the one die cut are lovely. Just a fantastic card! Your cards always make me want to go get inky! You are very inspiring. :) Hugs!
This card has such a lovely, gentle feel to it, Loll. Really pretty :)
CAS and absolutely beautiful Loll! Love the dimension of the embossing paste...really do need to get mine out and give it another try! :0)
I never thought to use my Inka Gold in this way...Brilliant, Loll! I love the turquoise and green color combo and how you added texture with your embossing paste! Great idea to add a touch of vellum, too! Such a stunning card!!!
Beautiful shade of turquoise on this leaf. At first thought you'd figured out a way to heat the copper to get this shade! Buffing brought up a splendid shine, and the vellum shadowing effect is so pretty. Gorgeous soft background with the paste mesh. Most gorgeous!!! TFS & Hugs
Gorgeous colours and a great design Loll. I love all that fabulous texture!
Oh Loll, what a beautiful birthday card! I love the colors you used on this one. That inka gold is fun stuff! I only have one color, but will need to get me some more sometime because I love what you do with it. I can't believe those leaves are from the inka gold, so pretty!!! Love the "shadow" with the vellum leaves, not in your face, but yet you can see them. I haven't used embossing paste in a while, need to use it again sometime. Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful card. Love the color and the grid paste background. Saved for CASEing. 😀👍
