On a Roll ...
Hi everyone. As my title says ... I'm on a roll! :) After struggling for many weeks after my surgery, my mojo is finally back and I'm having fun creating. Most of the cards you have seen over the past while were done before surgery, a few after. The ones done after took many tries to get something I was happy enough to share with you. :)
Today I just had fun playing. This is a very CAS one layer card with the colours of Autumn. I used a tree stamp that actually has a swing hanging from the larger branch (which I masked off). I did the no-line watercolouring technique ... happy how it turned out. :)
I stamped the image in crumb cake ink (light brown) and then watercoloured over top with many different colour of distress inks I made this specifically for a challenge being hosted by my friend Karen (Snippets). This is for the One Layer Simplicity challenge ... Red, Orange and Yellow.
I'm also adding this to the gallery at CAS Watercolour October Challenge - Autumn.
And I'm adding this to Paper Player #317 - CAS with Leaf. Haven't played there for a LONG time, so happy to renew myself with the challenge. Went there after seeing Hannelie's DT card. Thanks Hannelie!

What a beautiful tree, Loll! It looks like you sketched and colored! Now I see what you meant by Karen's challenge! Glad to see you on a roll!
WOW! This one jumped at me Loll! What caught my attention was the gorgeous wood grain you achieved in your tree trunk and did it with watercolor to boot! Just gorgeous! Love that sentiment!

I have been wanting to do more of the no line watercoloring...after seeing your gorgeous watercolored tree, Loll I definitely want to try the technique more often. Your tree looks like a hand drawn and painted image :-) TFS my friend. Hugs, nancy

I believe your mojo has come thundering back if this is any indication! What a stunning fall tree. I think this should be framed and used in your fall decor. You did a wonderful job with the watercolor. I love the soft autumn colors.
Loll, I have been remiss in not taking good care of you with your surgery and all! I am so glad you are doing well and will catch up soon. This card is delightfu! I thought you had drawn and painted it by hand! So lovely.
You should be happy, Loll. This is absolutely beautiful no-line coloring. You're back in the swing of things.

Beautiful card! Thanks for explaining how you colored it. Off to try some no-line coloring. :)
What a beautiful tree - it immediately made me start reciting "I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree" I had to google it to see who wrote it - Joyce Kilmer.... anyhoo !! LOVE your tree and the wonderful watercoloring on it - so glad you are feeling more like yourself now! Julia xx
Wow, Loll, such great no line water coloring. I love the look and it's not easy, so I'm suitably impressed. This is truly a lovely CAS fall card and I'm so happy you've shared it with The Paper Players this week.
