Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing several cards I made while filming my latest video tutorial. The tutorial is how I work with Alcohol Inks and Yupo Paper. The card above is a small snippet of one of the pieces I made in the video, and below is a card made with the rest of that piece, along with other cards made from samples from the video.
I show two different techniques (smooshing and dropping inks), and then show another way to add interest and visual texture. Please check out the video below (on YouTube). If you like what you see, please give me a thumbs up!! Thank you!

OVER-THE-TOP amazing!! You are so good with inks - [I will trying this with my paper and see if it works]. Gosh the end results are so pretty~
thanks so much for the video Loll - just ordered some Yupo paper today so looking forward to have lots of fun with my alcohol inks after ages of not using them!
Clunk! (that's the sound of my jaw hitting the desk)! Your cards are absolutely gorgeous, Loll! I will definitely order some Yupo paper so I can try this technique...thanks so much for showing us the way!
These are gorgeous Loll, love the effects you've created. Must take some time to watch the tutorial....but I don't have any alcohol inks! (YET). Carol x
Amazing technique and the effects are stunning. Love the addition of blending solution after the inks dry, such a creative and unique effect. Away for a fortnight but wanted to stop by and say how much I admire your cards and thank you so much for the fabulous inspiration x
Intriguing to say the least, Loll.
I recently played with yupo paper and alcohol inks and boy, was it fun! Your video really shows that and your cards are absolutely phenomenal! Hope your weekend is full of crafty time!
Your video was fantastic Loll and was a great refresher course for me from the class I took! And your cards are absolutely GORGEOUS! I feel like I say that about all your cards, but they really are just so pretty! I really do need to get my inks and yupo paper out and play!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! :0)
Wow! These are all gorgeous! I REALLY love that brown one.
Thank you thank you thank you! I had an order ready to go, then chickened out, thinking, I don't know enough about Yupo and this alcohol ink...but you have convinced me I need these! Gorgeous, Loll!!
Great video and beautiful cards too Loll ;) Viv xx
These cards are taking the "wow" factor to a new level! Thank you so much for the video -- feel like I just took a class in this technique.
Oooh .... these are gorgeous. I've been playing with AI's and YUPO this week .... love the effects. Didn't try spritzing though .... but I will now!!
Great video too ... thanks for sharing your techniques.
Looking forward to the tag event ... not long now. Have a great weekend hun xx
Beautiful cards Loll! I just received my Yupo paper and can't wait to get started with this technique. Thank you for the video.
Fabulous mix of colours Loll and the resulting cards are all beautiful. I don't own any alcohol inks but am wondering if it is possible to get a result with distress inks, probably not as dramatic though. x
oh my golly, this is a parade of gorgeousness. I love the results you are getting with the alcohol inks and Yupo paper Loll. Oh my.
These series of cards, though clean and simple, are simply awesome and breath-taking. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
I do adore these cards Loll! That Yupo paper is so cool. Love the look of the alcohol inks on it. I have to give this a try! Hugs, Brenda
Years ago I tried AI - when they were wet, they were beautiful; but when they dried, they were very dull looking. I tried glossy cardstock and regular cardstock. Your results are fantastic - any idea what I could have been doing wrong???
Great video, Loll ... and just the most stunning cards ... the blending solution on the dry ink creates the most incredible effects! And you make it look so un-messy!! Hugs, Anita :)
I certainly do like this video, Loll, especially the way you spritz and add droplets with the blending solution.
What an awesome technique! Such beauty in those colors, and then the cards!!!
I haven't watched the video yet, but I had to pop in and say what gorgeous cards you made with the results of the technique. Oh wow! These are so pretty! I thank you so much for sharing all that you share! :)
Great video's!! Your cards are so beautiful. I love seeing what you create with the backgrounds. You are truly an inspiration!!
Wonderful cards (they are more than stunning) and video! So now I am getting some Yupo paper and alcohol ink bottles which I have avoided buying until now. Thanks for the training, the inspiration, and for sharing. You are sooo wonderful. Hugz

This is extraordinary! I was just looking for a technique for popping up/lifting a very small piece from the paper and I saw your leaf stems. But I've wondered about alcohol inks so this was a lovely demonstration by a delightful presenter. I will visit you in the future to watch your expertise and hear your calming voice. ((hugs))
Goodness this is Brilliant!! Love everything about these cards
Your video was excellent...very clear and understandable! As was asked above by AndreaH...how do I subscribe to your blog?
Thanks again for the video!
Gerri, check out the right sidebar of my blog. Near the top is a "Subscribe by Email". Enter your email address and hit submit. Loll :)
Gorgeous!!! Thanks for the tip on blending solution in a spray bottle. I will def try that.
Would like to let you know that you should never spray the alcohol blending solution. It’s toxic. It has a resin in it that should not be inhaled. You can move the ink around by using 91% isopropyl alcohol. It can be used in a spray bottle, as it evaporates very fast and does not hang in the air.
WHenever using any types of chemicals, you should always have good ventilation in the room as well as wearing a mask. Loll
Thank you very much for this useful article. I like it. florida rehab
This is the best video on using alcohol inks that I have ever seen and I’ve watched a ton of them!!! I bought a ton of inks years ago and have never used them. Now you have me excited!!!
