Card Purse

Hi everyone.  Today I've made something different.  My dear friend Karen (Snippets) made a card totebag about a week ago.

I give several of my (non-cardmaking) friends packages of cards for their birthdays and I think this is such a great way to "wrap" the cards ... presenting them to my friends in this card holder purse.

It's also a great way to use some of my stacks of 12" x 12" patterned papers. :) Win/win.  I hope to make a lot more of these.

I struggled a little with the handles, but think maybe next time I'll soften the card stock with my bone folder before scoring and gluing and hopefully that will give a smoother curve.

    Cute, cute idea Loll...I will definitely have to check this tutorial out as I have boatloads of 12 x 12 paper! And what a great way to give cards or small gifts! :0)

    Such a pretty card holder and so creative. Your friends will be impressed. I saw Karen's bag and tutorial video that she used too. I am planning on making the bag for my cousin's baby shower. You are right, a great way to use our designer paper. TFS your beauty LOll. Hugs.....

    Now how cute is this! Many years ago I took a class to make something like this. I sure couldn't get the hang of it! Love the patterned paper and colors you chose. This is just adorable, Loll!

    When I give sets of cards as a gift to non-cardmakers I always make corrugated cardboard boxes, but this is such a lovely idea, Loll!!!!! Thank you so much for the link - I'm definitely going to try making some of these - for sure a great ay to use some of those 12" X 12"s that has been in my stash for a long time!!!! Very cute ...and I think your handles look just fine!!!!!
