Welcome to a new year of challenges at CAS Watercolour. Starting off with a fun challenge for January ...
We'd love to see you create a CAS (Clean and Simple) Watercoloured card that includes a snowflake or snowflakes! Easy and fun!
For my card, I started by sprinkling three colours of Brushos crystals over watercolour paper. I misted with water and then tilted the panel to let the colours flow together. Love these colours! I then stamped the Snowdust stamp from Penny black in Versamark and heat embossed in white. Such a beautiful contrast against the deep colours of the background. I used a technique that has been done many times by my good friend Nancy ... I pressed my versamark pad along the bottom and heat embossed in white to create a snowhill. Love this look and thanks for the tip Nancy!
To finish I added a simple die-cut sentiment. Fun card to make. :)
We are excited to have Hannelie (Desert Diva) as our Guest Designer this month. Make sure to click HERE to check out her amazing card, along with cards from the rest of our talented Design team. And then come play along.

Gorgeous Brushos background (love your colors too) for your heat embossed Snow Dust stamp (also a fav). Your heat eb snow bank turned out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun sharing techniques and tips! Your white die cut sentiment is the perfect embellishment for your CAS design. TFS my friend and Happy New Year. Hugs, Nancy
Fabulous colour combination and the white embossing looks amazing. Yes it is lovely sharing tips, thank you x
ReplyDeleteStamp familiar, but the card looks so incredibly thanks to this beautiful sentiment of CUTplorations. Very beautiful composition card. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Loll. My Brushos don't look like this. I guess I need some practice.
ReplyDeleteI adore the contrast between the pretty blue tones of Brusho and the lovely white tree with the snowflakes falling from it, and a great large die cut sentiment too. I must admit I have never tried making snow hills with versamark and White EP, but yours has worked beautifully. x
ReplyDeleteI've always loved this stamp and this makes such a pretty scene, Loll! I love the way the Brushos have the blue and purple! The snowbank is so pretty! A beautiful card, my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's so frosty & icy. The brushos made such a rich blue to ground that wonderful PB tree, and the white embossing overlay just glimmers so nicely. Love the big bold dimensional sentiment too. TFS
