Copper and Cardboard

A reminder that we are already over half way through the month of February.  The CAS Mix Up February Challenge - Corrugated Cardboard is open for just over a week.  Lots of amazing entries so far.  If you haven't had a chance to play along, come join the fun! :)

My CAS Mix Up card has Corrugated Cardboard, stamping, die-cuts, and heated copper.  I heated a piece of copper sheeting with a butane torch until it changed to different colours.  Then I die-cut the bird and leaves and glued them to a die-cut branch.  Everything was glued to the corrugated card square.  I heat embossed a simple sentiment in copper to finish.

The challenge is open until the 24th.  Come check out the awesome cards made by the rest of our Design Team, and our wonderful Guest Designer, Jules.  Hope to see you in the gallery! :)

Thanks for coming by for a visit!

Copper as it comes is not artistic enough for you so how about wielding a butane torch to it?! You are too much, Lolly! You are fearless and so inspiring with your talent and all the techniques you tackle and tame! This is spectacular!! Hugs, Dolly

The copper is a perfect blend with the corrugated cardboard. Love the way you only tore off part of the top layer of the cardboard - gives it a rustic look that is perfect for your theme of branch and bird. Thanks for creating such great cards for my challenge!

Lovely card. Love the way you used the copper. I keep seeing my stash hanging there - need to go back over your tips from awhile back so that I don't slice myself in the process of using it!
