Spring Tulips

Hi everyone.  One last card for the CAS Mix Up March Challenge - Smooshing.   My CAS Mix Up card has Stamping, Acetate Smooshing and Watercolouring.

We're celebrating our 1st Birthday this month with a few prizes. :)  The challenge ends in a few days.

I used acetate smooshing for the background behind my watercoloured and fussy-cut tulips.  It adds so much fun and visual texture.

And since tulips remind me of Spring, I'm also adding this to the CAS Watercolour March Challenge - Spring. :)  This challenge also closes in a few days.  I hope you'll find time to play along.

Stamps:  Love is Kindness (Stampin' Up!); Be Happy Sentiments (Amy R)
Paper:  White card base (Neenah 110 lb. card stock); Tulips (Watercolour - Arches 140 lb. hot press)
Ink:  Zigs, Archival Black, Memento Black
Accessories & Tools:  waterbrush, acetate sheet, water mister

Challenges:
CAS Mix Up March Challenge - Smooshing
CAS Watercolour March Challenge - Spring

What a lovely bouquet of spring tulips. I like this way of smooshing too. Thought you'd done a splendid spatter job until I read the post. I must try this - because it was a wonderful background for these cheery tulips. You've covered all the bases with the techniques in this pretty card! TFS

I'm loving this Loll. The smooshing is so understated and yet works so brilliantly and therefore the card works as a whole. Fabulous CAS, Mixed Media and Spring Card all wrapped in one, like those gorgeous tulips x

I love that image so much and just love the smooshed background Loll. I love how your background looks more like splatters that an entire background.

This is SO pretty Loll! I love that you only did just a very small spot of smooshing for the tulip bunch to rest on...I need to try that rather than covering the whole paper every time! Such beautiful tulips too...lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)

I have discovered my problem...I use way too much 'stuff' to smoosh and it just turns to yuck...I love this one with just one color and strategically placed! that is my kind of style!! I love that bouquet bound with newsprint! You always inspire me Loll! thank you! (and it's not like I don't watch you over and over again with your videos! I am a slow learner!)

Loll, you have used one of my favorite stamps. I just love everything you do with this one.

I love the way the smooshing is controlled in one area - I need to work on that!! And great job fussy cutting the image - it makes it really stand out against the green!

Look at those pretty tulips! The smooshing looks great behind the bouquet. I like that it's not a ton of smooshing. Less is more sometimes. Beautiful card!!

I really like the mint color for the smooshing. It sets off the tulips just right!

Beautifully done! Love your results of smooshing too, limiting the color to behind your image! Gorgeous card!

You are always inspiring me to remember that a little (or a lot) of splatter and smooching adds so much to a card; thank you for that! Your spring tulips are a delight, Lolly!! Hugs, Dolly

Thank you for showing us this lovely bouquet of spring flowers! Good to see that smooshing doesn't always have to cover the whole panel - just a little behind an image looks great!

Loll, looking through all he entries of March challenges. Love this simple and elegant card. I am CASeing it as we speak...it is so perfect for the recipient. I have not used this stamp in so long and the sentiment is one from a set which you recommended to me several years ago. Thank you. XX
