Hi everyone. One final card for the CAS Watercolour April Challenge - Green & Pink.
This time I tried no-line watercolouring ... sort of. :) I stamped my image in soft gray, with the hope that when I finished watercolouring, that gray would be covered with my green and pink watercolouring. I guess the gray is a little darker than I thought, so you can see it. I still think it worked fairly well. Next time, lighter on the first stamping! :) I used diluted reinkers to watercolour my stems, leaves and flowers and then finished with a bit of splattering.
We are winding down the CAS Waterolour April challenge. Just three more days left to play along. I hope you'll join us if you haven't had a chance to do so. Lots of inspiration from our Guest Designer Marcia, our talented Design Team, and our wonderful participants. Come play along!

CAS Watercolour April Challenge - Green & Pink
Loll, this is gorgeous, I think your no line coloring is fantastic and that is such a sweet stem with those flowers and leaves! Happy Friday to you! Heart Hugs, Colleen
ReplyDeleteYour no line water colouring looks wonderful, Loll!!!! A beautiful card with such a lovely feminine look!!! And that sentiment stamp fits so perfectly in that spot, hey!!!! Wonderfully done!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!!
Hugz
The gray defines the petals well so I think it worked fine! This is beautiful, my friend!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous. ๐ Because the gray is light, it looks pretty close to no line water coloring. ๐
ReplyDeletePersonally I like to see a bit of definition of the lines so I think you've found a perfect balance between dark lines and very subtle lines. Beautiful splatters too!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Loll and I think that it has worked beautifully, you are too hard on yourself! A great job! have a wonderful day! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

wow, stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card LOLL
ReplyDelete*sigh* So very pretty, Loll!! I really do love this color combination; there's something just right about pink and green. Pretty darn good no-line watercoloring, if you ask me. I tend to use TH Antique linen when I want to try no-line. I should see what it looks like with pinks.... This is a really lovely card, and floral stamp is beautifully delicate. Great card!! Have a great weekend. Bev
ReplyDeleteLook at you! No line watercolor...looks perfect to me. Beautiful and delicate flowers. Sarah XO
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Loll! I would have never guessed you stamped in gray! I have not succeeded with this yet- only with pencil. The shading is so perfectly done!
ReplyDeleteThis is so feminine and pretty, Lolly! I love that wispy flower stem, the splatters, and the PERFECT sediment!! Good thing you own this challenge or you would knock the rest of us out of the running to win, lol!! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great stamp for me to try no-line watercolor. Thanks for the inspiration, Loll.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so pretty ..... I'm loving the pink and free combination and I think you've done a great job with the watercolouring. Enjoy the weekend my friend xx
ReplyDeleteLove this no-line look--so soft and natural. Plus the watercolor look in those colors. And where you positioned the sentiment with the die and added the background splatters. All work to make a great looking card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Loll!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Loll, my favourite colour combo!
ReplyDeleteVal x
so so pretty, I love the soft pinks and the splatters and such a beautiful background to the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out great. So beautifully watercolored.
ReplyDeleteLoll, I LOVE your almost no-line coloring of your beautiful flowers and leaves. Actually I can not see any lines. I bought Memento London Fog just for no-line coloring, but forget to try the technique. You have inspired me to try it my friend. I LOVE your splattered background too. It gives your pretty image so much depth. TFS...Hugs..
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Loll. I was going to enter then realised that I'd used blue in my background! :)
ReplyDeleteSo delicate and so pretty. Learning all the time too with water colouring and will file that one away about using a lighter grey. Sometimes I practice on my practice water colour card...looks ok and then onto my expensive card and it re-acts and looks different! (Thinking about the different colours of grey etc). I should really get braver and just use the expensive stuff! Your sentiment nestles in so lovely and the splats are perfect x
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the gray till you mentioned it! All I saw was the beautifully water colored pink blooms and lovely sentiment. GORGEOUS card my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo feminine and pretty, Loll. I just love it.
ReplyDeletehow gorgeous Loll...you have a great way of showcasing the flower die cuts.

Loll, this is gorgeous, and I see no lines! Love this challenge, and I hope to join this week perhaps...we'll see! But it's a great one! CAS and watercoloring...what better two! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDreamy and so pretty, Loll ... the splatters make it seem as though this lovely sprig is drifting in a summer breeze! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Loll and I think the grey hardly shows at all. The sentiment looks great in green and fits in to that space perfectly, and the light spattering just stops the background from being stark white. I was going to make a card this evening but have just realised that I would not be able to make the deadline, and I am really disappointed that I have left myself short of time as the pink and green has been a lovely theme. I will try and do better next time. x
ReplyDeleteHumm, I don't see the grey outline Loll, all I see is a stunning no line watercoloring card! Love that image and you have did it justice for sure! What a great turn out for your first time no line watercoloring! I'm just trying to get the basic down for watercoloring. lol You always amaze me with your talent Loll and you never disappoint with your cards. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAnother really gorgeous card, Loll! I think the gray is very faint so your no line watercoloring worked perfectly with the flowers and leaves...you sure know how to showcase techniques beautifully for us...Love it!
