I used Catherine Pooler's video HERE to create this card. I used the same technique she shared and my card ended up being very similar to her card. :)
I started with an AI background from my stash, where I had smooshed blues and greens and once dry, spritzed with blending solution to create the pretty, dotty design. I die-cut my tag, and then ran it through my Big Shot again with the Lively die. I cut a second flower sprig from white card stock and inlaid it into the AI smooshed background. I added a little piece of white ribbon at the top, popped the tag up on my card front and finished with a white heat embossed black sentiment banner.
Check out the challenge blog where we have several links to video tutorials. Make a CAS (clean and simple) card that includes inlaid die-cutting and one other item from the "your choice" list on the challenge blog's right sidebar. Then link up to the challenge. We'd love to see you in the gallery!
I still had the left over die-cut flower sprig from the alcohol ink background, so I made a second card. This doesn't include inlaid die-cutting, but it's a great way to use up my leftovers. A two-fer card, as Darnell would say. :)
Used my Clarity Brushes to add a soft gray background through a stripes stencil. White heat embossed a black sentiment banner and popped it up with the end of the leafy sprig tucked in-behind. :)

Gorgeous alcohol ink die cut tag with the inlaid white flower spray. I Love the simplicity. So pleased you shared your 2nd card with the leftover die cut flowers. LOVE your very soft grey stenciled background using your Clarity brushes. TFS my friend...Hugs..
Hello Loll! Finally back home - confess that haven't done much since I've been back - Mt Mojo deserted me completely.
Love these cards very much (more for me to shamelessly CASE!) and your callas in your previous post are awesome.
Hope all is well with you. xx
The background on your tag looks fantastic and I love this delicate Penny Black die that you used with it! And yay for using the leftover to make another gorgeous card!
Happy Easter, my friend!
Fantastic backgrounds, and I really like your tag design. The white stem shines against that mottled AI background, and the tag is such a pretty shape. Also loved #2 with the soft stenciling. I haven't used my clarity brushes yet, but I have tried the double ended inkylicious ones I got from SSS. They are similar, but not long handles. The subtle stripes look gorgeous against the AI colors. TFS & Happy Easter.
Wonderful cards Loll, those AI colours are so pretty! Love the shape of the tag too. The delicate stripes behind the flower are the perfect touch to set it off. Happy Easter to you and your family, Cathy x
My gosh these are so pretty! Love how you get two-fer when die cutting and love how the inlay extends over the tag! That pale background is gorgeous, Loll. Since I have that stencil- I may have to snag that idea.
Love your tag design card Loll - the white really stands out off the AI background - and what a bonus you got to use the piece for a second beautiful card! Have a lovely Easter my friend! Julia xx
Absolutely stunning Loll! I don't know how they could have been any prettier! Love the alcohol ink background using the tag as the frame... Your "leftover" card is beautiful too. I always look forward to opening your email! :) FYI, I believe the die is Flower Frolic instead of Lively.
Great background! Initially I thought you used the new DI Oxy, but I read that it was AI. Great effect, I love it's unique background and colors. Beautifully inlaid tag, thank you for inspiring your future challenge Tvelve Tags of Christmas :-))
Happy Easter, my dear Loll.
Hugs with love,
BożenA
Love both cards, Loll. The white inlaid sprig really pops beautifully against your AI background, which happens to be my favourite colour combo. 😉 Beautiful cards as always.
Two gorgeous cards, my friend! I love the pop of the white flowers in that gorgeous tag! And the leftovers make just as pretty a card!
Thanks so much Elaine. Yes, it is the Flower Frolic die (I've updated my recipe for the card).
Beautiful blend of colours for your AI smooshing! It works so well both as the backdrop for the inlaid die and for the positive die on the second card - two fabulous designs!
Both card are beautiful. I love it when it's a two-fer. Happy Easter!
Gorgeous smooshing technique result Loll. Love the colors and LOVE that tag shape. WOW. Oh and so smart to use your leftovers. Two for one. Whoot.
So very pretty! Love the look of both cards. Thanks for sharing. :)
ooooh, I'm swooning! Two fantastic cards! The inlaid die in a tag- idea in your first card is brilliant, I'll have to look through my dies and see if there's something that would work for this! Really love the look!
The most glorious colours in your amazing background. So classy to in lay the white leaf die and so very eye catching. Always good to get another card and your second one is a beauty too. Loving the grey light touch of the colour through the stencil. Fabulous inspiration....Thank you x
Watched this video and like this idea and you worked it beautifully with your cards. I love the colours you used. I always thought when using inlaid dies you needed to make the card flat, so I am right in thinking you can pop up a panel to tag like you have used on foam pads and have the inlaid die on this?
Two gorgeous cards. I love using the inlaid die cutting technique, must give this version a try. The white sprig really pops against that AI background and I love the simplicity on the second card ..... just beautiful! xx
Both cards a beautiful, Loll. I love the blue tag and the stenciling behind the flower reminds me of striped satin fabric.
love the AI background of the tag, the colours are so bright and colourful. the white card base is the perfect frame. I also love the simplicity of the AI die cut against the stenciling.
Both of these cards are FABULOUS Loll! I love how perfect those leaves look inlaid into the Al ink tag...absolutely GORGEOUS!! And what a pretty 2nd card too by just using the die cut from the tag...Darnell would be SO proud!! :0)
Both of these are beautiful, Loll. I love the clever layout of the first one and the subtle background of the second. The colours are gorgeous.
beautiful and 2 wonderful cards are created.
xx Karen
Gorgeous tag, Loll! Your AI's created such a beautiful pattern and I love how you used the leaves on your 2nd card...such a lovely stencil, too!
Goh, these are both so crisp and gorgeous, Loll ... the effect of the AI is fantastic! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh, WOW, I love that delicate die, Loll and you have really made it shine on these two stunning cards!!!! Your tag looks amazing and the soft grey lines on the second card make a fabulous bg for the die cut!!! Both of these are so beautiful!!!!
Hugz
Wow, both of your cards are stunning Loll!!! I love the colors you used on your smooshing, that tag shape is awesome and your left over piece made for another stunning card! The stenciled background is just so beautiful, I fell in love with that right away! Sorry, I'm so behind on my commenting. Hugs, Brenda
