My grand-doggie turned 1 on April 15th. Jer and Alex hosted a party at our place so that the dogs had a yard to play in. Worked really well as the day was sunny and dry so they did spend some time outside.
I had so much fun making this card for Violeta's Birthday. I watercoloured the digi image using my zigs, trying to get as close to her colour of fur as possible. And, of course, the balloon had to be purple! :) Not sure if Violeta appreciated the card Nana made, but Jer and & Alex did. It's a little keepsake for them.
My friends Susan and Christine attended the party with three of their four dogs. This is the usual group of dogs that get together for a play day while Susan, Christine and I get to play with ink. It was Tessa's 1st birthday the week before Vi's, so I made her a card as well. Again, not sure Tessa thought much of it, but her mom Susan liked it. Tessa is white with sand coloured spots so I tried to keep her colours on the dog below. :)
And one more card for another friend of Vi's that is turning one ...
I had fun making the doggie cards. :) Hope you enjoyed seeing them.
Here's a picture of the princess getting ready for the party. She wanted to wear pearls for the special event, but they only lasted about five minutes before they were off and left somewhere in the back yard. :)

OMG Loll, all 3 of your cards are so fun and cute. Love how you colored each pup using the colors of each of the puppies. The picture of Violeta is adorable. She looks so silky soft and shiny. What a fun birthday party you all got to celebrate. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to meet all the dogs IRL soon :-) Also their parents and grand parents :-)
Love these cards! May I ask the name of the stamp set for the sentiments?
ReplyDeleteThey are all Paper Smooches sentiments. The Happy Birthday is from the Sentiment Sampler stamp set, and Let's Party is from Word Salad. The dog in the last two cards is also Paper Smooches Chubby Chums.

ReplyDeleteOh are these cute! The doggie stamps are just adorable and love the coloring on Vi's card! It's hard to match a pet's fur! You managed perfectly. The spots on Susan's doggie card is fantastic. These look like SO much fun, Loll!
ReplyDeleteLove all three of your dog birthday cards, but of course, am especially fond of the one you made for Tessa. It's sitting on our mantel so I see it all the time. You really captured her colouring, and the stamp captures her slightly crazed look when she is playing with Vi! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteIt was the best party I've been to. Tika had a blast and was zonked for the rest of the day. Love the cards, now I have to get that Paper Smooches dog and sentiment. awesome cards
