Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a new techniques created by my dear friend, Karen (Snippets). Click on the link to see her latest cards using this fun technique.
She is hosting the TLC (Try A New Technique) Challenge #640 at Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) this week, so I'm playing along.
This also works for today's SCS CAS Challenge #431 - Backgrounds, hosted by Kia. I'm playing along there too! :)
I used an old gift card and three colours of Distress Oxides to create the background. I then used white acrylic paint to create the cross lines. I framed it up, added a die-cut sprig, and stamped a sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteJust popped over to Karen's, told her she's one clever vegemite, so glad she shared how she did it.
I'm gonna have to wait a while as two colours of oxides only but might try a substitute with what I have.. necessity is the mother of invention... think someone said. ;-)

Yours turned out beautiful, Loll. I tried it when I first saw Karen's but missed the detail about Bristol and it doesn't work quite as well on Neenah but I still have a decent background. Now I need to make it into a card.
