Hi everyone. I'm playing along with Rudolph Days run by the lovely Maureeen (Scrappimo!). The challenge runs every month from the 25th to end of month and it's always Anything Goes Christmas. It's great to make Christmas cards throughout the year. :)
The card above is several techniques and has an artsy look.
I started by stenciling with Brushos, following the technique in my video. This time I changed it up slightly by quickly sprinkling a little bit of kosher salt over my piece before I removed the stencil. And I didn't blot with paper towel, so the colours dried very vibrant. I let it air dry so that the salt could do it's thing. :) It absorbs some of the pigment and creates these little bursts of colour. It's very subtle on the card above, but if you look closely you can see the design left by the salt in the blue ink.
Here's a close-up.
To finish the card, I took a silver metallic pen doodled around the outline of the image. Then I heat embossed a sentiment in silver to match.
I hope you'll come join the fun at Rudolph Days!

I love, I love, I love this blue depth! Like inside a glacier ... I also love how salt grouped the dye. Another incredible card, very, very wintery :-)

This Christmas card has a very dramatic feel due to the vibrant blues and depth of colour that you obtained here. The white snowflake pops off the page!
Thanks for playing along in the July Rudolph Days Challenge
Beautiful snowflake card. Love the vibrant background blue colour (my fave). I have never done the salt technique, but it looks so neat.

I Love your stenciled with Brushos snowflake, Loll. Adding the salt gave such a nice added texture and outlining with your metallic pen really added dimension to your snowflake. Both great ideas. TFS my friend. Hugs..
Love the salted Brushos, Loll! That rich blue is perfect for with the snowflake! Love that fun sentiment too!
That background colour is amazing Loll . . . so vibrant! I thought at first, it was a alcohol piece, it is that vibrant! Love the effect of the salt and what a great idea, to trace around the snowflake with the silver pen . . . inspired! Have a lovely week my friend! Love & Hugs. Hazel xx

Great effect with your stencil, brusho's, and salt, love the deep blue it's so pretty. The outlining with your silver pen really makes it pop and looks so neat.
The perfect icy blue!
Amazing - as ever Loll. Love how you have let the blue remain vibrant by not removing any pigment and simply air drying.
Blessings

Gorgeous as always .... I love the effect from the salt xx
I so enjoy the vibrant blue! Adding salt sure adds a wonderful texture to the color. I also quite like the silver marker around the edge of the snowflake. Wonderful card, Loll! :)

I love all the elements on this card, and how you've kept it so beautifully CAS! That sea salt technique is wonderful, and I just might have to give this a shot!! Most amazing of all, to me, is how you so perfectly outlined the snowflake... I can't tell you the number of nearly finished cards I've ruined trying this, lol! The outlining adds another dimension, and it's beautiful. Great Christmas card!! Bev
Gorgeous! I love it (of course I do - it's blue and white :)). The silver outlining is a great finishing touch.
The sense of texture is fabulous on this glorious blue background, Loll ... such a delicious bold colour against the crisp white ... and awesome outlining on the snowflake! Hugs, Anita :)
Great color and classic design.
