I know that it's a no-no to heat emboss Yupo, but I just did quick passes over top of the stamping with my heat tool so that the yupo didn't buckle. It takes a little bit of time, but worked well.
I hope you like my CASE of Linda's gorgeous card. If you don't know Linda, make sure to check out her blog (Life in the Craft Lane). She makes amazing cards and also shares her how to's on working with all kinds of products and techniques. I know you'll be glad you stopped by to see her!
This will be my second entry for Darnell's NBUS Challenge #12. This is the first time using this flower stamp and sentiment stamp. :) Thanks Darnell for this fun challenge!!

NBUS Challenge #12
just beautiful, Loll - the softer alcohol inks are really pretty with the gold!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, Loll. Love the softer colors.
ReplyDeleteA lovely case of Linda's beautiful card Loll - great AI colors and the gold really sparkles - fun idea for the sentiment to overlap the card and panel! xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous CASE of Linda's gorgeous card. Yes I enjoy Linda's amazing talent too. Your card is so pretty and delicate and love the colours of the inks. I haven't tried to heat yuppo but will give it a go next time x
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pretty softer colors of alcohol ink, Loll. They made such a beautiful background for your heat embossed wildflowers and sentiment. Love the angle of your sentiment. Love Linda's card too. I have been following Linda for a couple of years and love how she uses so many different mixed media products and techniques too. TFS your beauty too my friend. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteThought I commented here but evidently didn't. I LOVE this soft AI background! Did you smoosh or drop? It gorgeous with the gold embossing! Linda is definitely an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Loll, love the sentiment being offset, looks so effective, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours to go with the gold embossing! Such a great CASE of Linda's card!
ReplyDeletegorgeous CASE of Linda's beautiful card. the gold embossing on Yupo was so brave :), it looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteYou always achieve such a beautiful marbled effect with alcohol inks instead of the blobs I tend to get with the metallic. This is so beautiful and love the sentiment partially stamped and embossed off the panel. That is not easy to do with a layer on there!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Lolly, I do know Linda and totally agree with you about her amazing talent! And you, my friend, are a true peer of hers! You did a remarkable CASE of her pretty card! You both amaze me! The see-through airy flower image you chose is perfect to show off your gorgeous background to its best advantage!! Thank you for playing again in NBUS #12! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful card, Loll, with its softer colors and gold embossing. So pretty and a great take on Linda's wonderful card. Both of you are so talented. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful panel is as stunning as they ever are Loll! I love the gold embossing on it too, and as you say, that sentiment running over the two layers is a fabulous technique, and in the gold, really adds the WOW factor! Have a great day my friend! Love & Hugs. Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteMy Card Attic
Beautiful work, Loll! You achieve some really wonderful backgrounds in colors that are so pleasing to the eye. Then you add a simple silhouette that just adds beauty to the piece. I so enjoy your artistry! Have a wonderful weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful delicate card Loll - this is gorgeous

WOW! What a fabulous CASE Loll .... I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou always work wonders with alcohol inks and get great effects. I love the colour mix here and the stamped flower looks so delicate.
Thanks for the CASE, and the mention .... I feel very honoured.
I'm always inspired after visiting your blog .... in fact if it wasn't for you my friend my alcohol inks wouldn't get the use they do now.
Enjoy your weekend xx
You know I always love your backgrounds, Loll, but the embossed sentiment running off into the frame is such a brilliant addition.
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors of your background! I also associate AI backgrounds with bright colors but really like how this came out! That combined with the gold embossed flower and sentiment sliding off the background make this card fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have such a picture in my head when the colors in the water mix together, creating amazing smudges of fog of color ( in Polish niesamowite smugi mgły koloru). Your background is taken out of my memories of this image. Is it a mystery to me as you enter my head Loll? Beautiful, airy, stunning card.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
BozenA xx
What dreamy delicate blooms, Loll ... gorgeous in the gold against that yummy soft AI background ... love how the sentiment goes across both the panel and card ... such a great look! Hugs, Anita :)!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunner Loll! Love that background and those beautiful colors, the gold embossing looks so pretty with those colors. Hugs, Brenda
