As I mentioned earlier, I bought several of Penny Black's Christmas stamps that are just perfect for watercolouring. I was not confident to start using them until I watched several of Jill Foster's video. Here's a link to PB&J (Penny Black & Jill Foster) videos.
I am loving working with these beautiful stamps. This one was done with the no-line watercolouring. Placed the stamp in my Mist, and inked up with a pale brown (Sahara Sand from Stampin' Up!). Pressed onto my mixed media paper. Repeated with the same ink until I had a good image ... still very pale, but showing the details.
The poinsettia was watercoloured using distress inks and a water brush, then details added with watercolour pencils. Once dry, the image was stamped again, this time with Versamark and heat embossed in clear. Water was added to the background, along with green ink that flowed around the poinsettia. I used my waterbrush to move the green around to create a watercolour wash. To finish the card, diluted white paint was splattered for a snowy effect, and the sentiment was stamped in the same green used for the poinsettia and background.

I love this, Loll. Poinsettia is one of my favourites and your watercolouring and splatters look amazing.
Oh My...You have me inspired, Loll after seeing your gorgeous no line watercoloured poinsettia. I have this stamp and have not successfully watercoloured. I so want to try your no line technique. TFS your gorgeous card and detailed description my friend. Hugs

Beautiful, I love how you painted this poinsettia, it has such a certain line. I love delicate water background. Adding white splashes looks stunning. Amazing card with a huge Christmas message.
Hugs,
BożenA xx
So beautifully watercoloured! Love the contrast of the vibrant poinsettia with the soft green background.
I've usually just done marker directly to stamp and spritz for these PB stamps. You got such a bright color by watercoloring over the lightly stamped image, Loll. I'm going to try this with one of my stamps.
Beautiful Loll. Great watercoloring.
WOW!!! This is absolutely stunning Loll. I love this PB stamp, and you've done a fabulous job with the no-line watercolouring .... I love it!! xx
Gorgeous card, Loll. The watercolouring fabulous. xx
WOW! That looks exactly like a Jill Foster work of art, Loll! I've tried to follow her videos but she makes it look easy- NOT! This is amazing, the colors, the blending and the gorgeous wash in the background without any horrid watermarks- just amazing! Love this.
WOW! This is gorgeous, Loll! What a beautiful poinsettia! I'll be CASEing this, my friend!
Beautiful. I love poinsettias. Especially the pink ones I saw for the first time this year. [Bunny]
Absolutely GORGEOUS card, Loll! Your no-line watercoloring is perfect with all those elegant petals on the Poinsettia, and your details make everything pop...I love the effects of your pencil work and splatters...WOW! I'll bet this card looks amazing in person, too ~ Can't wait to play along :)
Stunning, Can't wait to try this again. You make it look so easy :)
Oh Loll that poinsettia is stunning and beautifully colooured. A fabulous stamp and you have done it proud. There is nothing quite like a poinsettia for a Christmas card - a favourite of mine. Love the effect you achieved with the background wash and your sentiment font is awesome. Thanks so much for inviting me to be your Guest this month. Simply thrilled!
