Again you have outdone yourself with this exquisite tag Loll. The poinsettia is truly beautiful in all it's detail. The background compliments it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNancy's tag is simply fabulous and just have to go pop over and see how it was made.
Congratulations and Thank You for showcasing all the amazing pieces of art from you and your Guests. So sorry to see them end but good things do that.
WOW! This poinsettia is gorgeous, my friend! I love the shades of pink with the embossed edges and what a wonderful job of fussy cutting! And Nancy's tag is awesome as well! You saved the best for last!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you saved this tag for last...truly STUNNING Loll! Your Poinsettia looks translucent...almost like you did it on vellum...SOOO pretty! And I love the white on white background too! Lovely, lovely tag my friend. And Nancy's tag is just GORGEOUS too...LOVE all the little details and the richness of the gold! Another FABULOUS tag event Loll, and I enjoyed every day of it! Thank you again for inviting me to be a part of the DT...so very, very honored to have been a part of this talented group!! :0)
ReplyDeleteOf course I have loved all your tags and been hugely inspired ....however this tag is a masterpiece, absolutely stunning, so clean and crisp, so pretty and simply amazing.....You have spoilt us through the past 12 days and yes where does time go? It was my pleasure to join in and I am still thrilled and honoured. Stunning inspiration from all the guests and of course the stunning gallery x Thank you Loll for the wonderful opportunity and all your hard work running this fun and inspiring challenge x Nancy is always inspiring and love the elegant tag...off to take a closer look x
ReplyDeleteCouldn't leave a comment for Nancy so just wanted to say that I loved her creative background and the nail heads are so clever. Gorgeous tag x
DeleteStunning tags, Loll, so classy and elegant. My favourite is the first one, the poinsettia is beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteWow, your tag and Nancy's tag are so elegant and beautiful Loll! Love that poinsettia on your tag with the dry embossing and the black sentiment strips just makes it all pop. Nancy's tag is stunning as well. Love the gold shimmer in the background and that little pop of blue-makes for one beautiful background. The ornament and "25" are perfect on this Christmas tag and I just love the swirls. Makes me think of the "magic of Christmas". Just beautiful you two!!! Now I'm off to see everyone's tags they linked up. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOMG Loll, Your poinsettia tag and Nancy's tag are absolutely Stunning!!! I think you saved the best for last my friend. I Love your heat embossed and fussy cut gorgeous poinsettia and dry embossed background. Your black border for your sentiment is really striking too. TFS your beauty and for hosting your fabulous tag event. Already can't wait for next year! Hugs
ReplyDeleteOff to check out Nancy's details...
Thanks Nancy. The background is actually done with embossing paste through a stencil by Tim Holtz (poinsettia layering stencil). xx
DeleteThanks Loll. I reread your description and your supply list and saw how you used your eb paste. Love the effect. Which stamp did you use for your poinsettia? I thought you used a die cut also, but saw you fussy cut your flower. You are an expert at fussy cutting my friend. TFS Hugs
DeleteLoll, I have to agree with a previous comment that this is so well done, that poinsettia looks like it was done on vellum! The softness of the color on the tips of the petals is just beautiful and LOVE that background. Your presentation is equally classy! This is another one of my favorites and thanks for doing this for one more year! We all had fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tags! Love that gorgeous poinsettia! Beautiful ornament tag by Nancy too. Thanks for a fabulous challenge! I'm inspired.... I have had no camera (no smart phone either!) so did not make any tags to add to your challenge, but thoroughly enjoyed checking in on all the creations!
ReplyDeleteThank you for making this such a great challenge Loll and it has been a pleasure to look and comment on each of the days, and today's is the ultimate beauty! I adore the texture paste background and the fabulous stamped and embossed poinsettia which at first sight looks as though it was stamped on vellum or acrylic and not card, and I love the pretty white spattering and the great contrast with the platinum embossing and the black sentiment strip too. Linda's gelli print background is so interesting and what a delightful gold bauble, and the number '25' and the sweet flourishes with the little nail heads are great finishing touches. x
ReplyDeleteThe embossing and coloring on the poinsettia leaves is lovely. I really did think that it had been stamped on vellum. The fussy cutting is very good. Lots of patience there. Love the paste embossing. The tag is wonderful. Thank you for the challenge and for challenging us and a big thank you to your guest designers, too. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous poinsettia, Loll! It's sooo beautiful and perfect for the last day of your tag event! The watercolored poinsettia outlined with the liquid platinum embossing powder looks stunning against the stenciled background with white embossing paste! The black strip with heat-embossed sentiment and the red ribbon are festive and elegant.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a huge success of the event this year too! I just wanted to pop in before the day is over. I'll join you very soon! Hugs.. Hideko
Fantastic finale to a wonderful event, Loll! That poinsettia tag is simply stunning! Wow! Your friend's tag is equally beautiful in its own way. Such pretty colors in both and both evoke a love for the season. Thanks so much for all the hard work that went into putting this event together! And for all the eye candy. You are a blessing!
ReplyDeleteThe time sure did fly by! What a beautiful last tag you created Loll - love the textured background and your delicate fussy cut, beautifully colored poinsettia! A lovely 12 days to get in the Christmas spirit! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteBoth examples blew me away.
ReplyDeleteI have loved all your tags, Loll - but this one might be my favorite too - love the delicacy of the poinsettia and the black strip with sentiment creates such a great contrast. Still hoping to enter, but we'll see.....
ReplyDeleteI can see why this one is your favourite! It is such a perfect composition with the embossing paste poinsettia background and the beautifully watercoloured fussy cut one on top. The splattering of white is a great finishing touch. I'm sad that this is Day 12 as I've really enjoyed seeing everything - yours and the wonderful contributions from the Guest Designers. So glad you did the Tag Event again!
ReplyDeleteso pretty, and definitely a favorite of mine. I love the white EP background and your fussy cutting is just amazing, I'm in awe :) The poinsettia is stunning and your colouring is spectcacuar, the shading seems to have created a glint of light.
