Hi everyone. I do love this colour combo. Made a quick card using a new-to-me tree die that I just got from AliExpress. Had a piece of smooshed blue and green watercoloured paper in my stash. Die-cut the trees and then added a bit of "snow". I globbed it on too thick and it covered up a lot of the colour, so I picked some of it off before it was dry. Then took an emery board to sand down the rest. Was left with just a thin "dusting of snow", which I like much better. For the background, used a falling snow stencil and more of the Glitter Snow paste that I used on the trees. The glitter is very subtle, but I do love the dimension that the paste adds to the background. Tore a snow hill and stamped a sentiment. Tried to match the colour of the trees with my sentiment and think it worked out pretty well. Stamped it first with turquoise and then green on top.
Here's a close-up ...

Beautiful, and the snow effect is perfect. Love this die, and how well it is displayed with the falling snow background. Looks to me like your sentiment color matches just great! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask ...is the frost glitter snow paste, the Bo-Bunny product that looks blue in the bottle? Worked terrific for your snow.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary. The Glitter Snow paste is made by Aleene's. I've added the info above. Thanks for asking.
DeleteLove this card! The Frost Glitter Snow paste is fabulous. And great idea to stamp the sentiment with two colours to get the blend you wanted.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Loll. I love the colors and the texture of the snow. Your sentiment matches perfectly with the trees. Enjoy your day!

I can imagine how gorgeous this card is IRL with that snow. Love the result you got with the trees and the snowflakes in the background. Another beautiful cas card Loll.
ReplyDeleteThose trees really shine in a snowstorm, Loll. I love their mottled color and you matched it well with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteDid you get converted to b & g! I LOVE IT 😆 the colors are so gorgeous against the white!
ReplyDeleteLove the tree die and the beautiful color of your smooshed piece. Great save on removing the snow! I may have to check out Aliexpress more often! Beautifully designed!

Love your tree die cut smooshed trees with your snowflake background. Such a pretty Christmas card my friend. TFS and Happy Holidays. Hug
ReplyDeleteI love this color combo too, Loll! This card showcases that tree die so well. :-) The stenciled snow falls are beautiful, and I love the edge of the torn snow hill. Matching the color of the sentiment by stamping it twice is a great idea too. Hideko xx
ReplyDeleteYour trees are so pretty, Loll! I love the colors and how you added a dusting of snow...so clever and effective! Love how you matched your sentiment, too...such a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThose trees look so pretty in the snow, the colours really pop against the white xx
ReplyDeleteLoll, this is a beautiful card! I think your trees are simply beautiful and the addition of the glittery snow just adds to the beauty. Thanks for sharing about Aleene's glitter snow. Never saw it or paid attention if I did. So reasonable and it looks terrific. A wonderful wintery card! :)

ReplyDeleteAt AE, this die did not make a big impression on me, but after what you conjured up from it, I think it's unique! As you can see, even uninteresting die in the hand sorceress can create an amazing project. Thank you for the inspiration, Loll!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
BożenA xx
Absolutely love what you did with this tree die! This wintry card is simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLoving the texture of the snow and such a pretty colour combination on the trees. Also love how you've done the sentiment with the two colours x
ReplyDeleteThese blue green trees work beautifully against the white snow Loll, and I love the textural snow falling and the bit of snow below the trees and the lower case sentiment completes the clean and uncluttered look. x
