Hi everyone. We are already more than half way through the month of March, which means it's time for a reminder post for the CAS Watercolour March Challenge - Garden.
I used a stamp that I have had for AGES. Might be from my first year of stamping. It's made by Ditto and I don't even know if they are still in business. I love the fun, whimsical style of this stamp, so thought I would throw caution to the wind and just "slosh" (a la shirley-bee) on some watercolour. :) This fun card only took me about 10 minutes to make. :) That's gotta be a record for me. And I love how this sweet garden turned out. :)
I stamped the image in archival ink twice, sloshed on some diluted Disress Inks (Candied Apple for the flowers, Twisted Citron for the leaves). The I took a fine brush and added some blades of grass at the bottom in both Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. Stamped the sentiment to match the flowers and popped my card front on the base. Easy, peasy and fun.
Here's a close-up ...
While I was at it ... made a second card using orange for the flower and a darker green for the leaves. This time I only stamped the image once, so it's narrower.
Check out the reminder post on CAS Watercolour to see the more inspiring Garden Watercoloured cards from our Designers and wonderful Guest Designer Nonni. Then come play along!

I Love your sweet flower garden cards, Loll. Your loosely (sloshed) watercolouring is perfect for the whimsical design of your flowers. Your hand drawn grass ties your garden together so well along with your border sentiment. TFS both your cards, my friend and hosting a fun Spring challenge:-) Hugs...
What bright and FUN cards Loll! Love the whimsical look to your garden and love that your birthday sentiment is so whimsical looking too...a definite match! Lovely, lovely cards and a wonderful challenge this month!! :0)
You even 'slosh' artistically! Both are so pretty, but I'm drawn to the pink one I think. Love the fullness of the design and I guess cause I like pinky-red roses. Also like the spare style of #2 with the pop of the orange..makes me think 'summer'. TFS & Hugs
Always beautiful cards to visit. Love the simplicity of the roses.

I love this Loll .... what a gorgeous stamp. Great 'sloshing' too .... another fab technical term xx
What fun funky flowers Loll! So pretty in both colors that you sloshed on!
These are just so fun, Loll! Love the colors on both of them. This sure does not look like you sloshed the paint on. It appears controlled and beautifully shaded! Love that image!
Love, love, love your flowers gardens, Loll! You "slosh" watercolor beautifully! I'm impressed with your hand painted grass and I love how the sentiment grounds it all!
So glad you got out that very old stamp! You created a beautiful flower garden with it! Love both colour variatons. I must take a look at some of my very early stamps!
Loll, such a pretty garden, I love the artsy flowers :)
Wonderful cards Loll, love those quirky flowers ! The pink is my favourite but they are both gorgeous :)
Hugs Kaz xx
Both are beautiful. You chose some lovely colors to slosh on to the images. Really like this CAS card. So fun when artists feature older stamps that we can all still love to use. Shows they stand the test of time. :) Have a great weekend! Hugs!
These sweet stylised flowers work well here Loll and I love both versions, and the more random type of colouring suits them perfectly. x
So simple and simply beautiful, Loll. The doodley flower style works well with the sloshed watercolor.
These are so cute and fun. Both colour versions look wonderful. xx
Sorry I am late in commenting Loll x The fun stamp is so contemporary and love how you threw caution to the wind in your colouring...made me chuckle x The font looks great too. Fabulous garden of flowers on both cards and great to see older stamps being used...love it x
Your garden is so sweet :-) I love modern design thanks to the use of these beautiful stamps.
Hugs,

Fabulous, Loll ... both colour combo's ... sweet and wonderfully whimsical! Hugs, Anita :)
Fun stamp and fun watercoloring! Love the stamp's whimsical style and the sloshy style of watercoloring goes well with it! This is proof that it doesn't have to take hours to make fabulous cards!
Love both of your cards Loll, I wish my 10 minute cards looked like these or even my hour cards! lol Such a fun stamp, love those flowers. How you can take a whimsical stamp and make a card look so elegant like you do if beyond me, but you did and they are beautiful. Hugs, Brenda
These cards are so fun and pretty, Loll! They're a little different from your usual style, and it's a nice surprise (as much as I love your elegant style too). The loose watercolouring with DI is perfect for the whimsical images! Hideko xx
This is so pretty and fresh feeling mf...just in time for Spring's arrival and I tell you, it can't get here fast enough for me.
xx Karen
